Txus 11-04-2006 11:23 AM
and as to the guy who said this world cant tear us apart is the worst song that he has ever heard.. what do you base your oppinion on? Talent? because by using the word WORSE you are implying that you think oit took no talent to write the song and it was just sloppily thrown together.. in which case you are not correct in the slightest, and you shall forever be looked down upon as a durnbass
That song is awful compared to the rest of the songs on the album. It is a shameless filler/radio friendly song. Even Matt said it was 'the crusade's dying in your arms.' Yes, i would go as far to say it didnt take talent to write that song, the talent those guys have dont justify that song. Its very lazy. And im a dumbass for having an opinion? Its one of the worst songs IVE heard, i didnt state it as a fact. EDIT: btw, the 'death metal' song is contamination breeds contempt, or whatever. And no, it isnt death metal.

SixStringKing 11-04-2006 01:20 PM

ACTUALLY stating that it is the worst song youve ever heard is a fact not oppinion. and you have no basis for your argument.. your merely stating that you do not like the song.. not that it is the worst song ever.. tell me please.. is "Dwarf Invasion" by reggie and the full effect a better song?

Kage 11-04-2006 01:27 PM
ACTUALLY stating that it is the worst song youve ever heard is a fact not oppinion.
Oh, come off it. Music is purely subjective anyway, so stop getting offended and just understand that it is assumed that someone is giving an opinion.

SixStringKing 11-04-2006 02:04 PM

well.. music is not purely subjective at all....i mean yes ones TASTE in music can vary dramatically.. but the fact of the matter is that Trivium im sure stands as a much more talented band than im sure most of the bands that you have heard.. so all in all music is not purely subjective noob.....

Drunken Viking 11-04-2006 03:18 PM

I don't think SSK is getting what "Music is subjective" means.

Kage 11-04-2006 03:40 PM

Ignorance ITT.

SixStringKing 11-04-2006 04:04 PM

being correct is not ignorance

Kage 11-04-2006 04:05 PM

You're way off though.

Hate Crew Deathroll 11-04-2006 04:11 PM

If you don't like Trivum, why don't you just fuck the hell off out of the thread?

Kage 11-04-2006 04:13 PM

What I've said has nothing to do with Trivium really, I just happened to notice SixStringKing spouting off and I tried to let him know that music is subjective.

Then he said something completely illogical about Trivium.

Noob bashes FTW.

Though that thing about Trivium being more talented than what Kage listens to () was completely ignorant and arrogant, it's probably not the guy's own fault that he hasn't heard anything better.

You're probably right.

Just to make it clear, my comment wasn't aimed at you. But it's really pointless if people just post just to try and stir stuff up because they don't like this bands music.

There's a big difference between 'stirring stuff up' and stating an opinion.

SixStringKing 11-04-2006 04:33 PM

okay.. i did not say that the bands kage listens to were bad.. i said the bands he has HEARD we have all heard green day am i wrong?
So what im arguing is that THIS WORLD CANT TEAR US APART took more talent to write than american idiot... because someone said it was the worst song ever.. and Kage. music is not COMPLETELY subjective... there are personal elements to music, but also technical.. technicalities are far from subjective

Drunken Viking 11-04-2006 04:36 PM

Come on is this a joke account? You can't seriously think this.

Obviously, but I haven't read all this crap so I don't know what started it, but it's the only things that ever happens in here and it's annoying as hell.

Grumma 11-04-2006 07:12 PM

Im sure even the 'bashers' that think Trivium cant play to save themselves would deep down know that theyre still better then anything that comes onto the radio except for perhaps old Zep songs.

It's a credit to them for having such a large metal following yet still be able to make mainstream radio

Kage 11-04-2006 07:22 PM

Who cares if they're better than what comes out on the radio?

Grumma 11-04-2006 07:32 PM

Everyone that listens to them . . .

Duh

Kage 11-04-2006 07:35 PM

My point is, saying it's better than what comes out on the radio isn't saying much at all.

Txus 11-04-2006 07:36 PM

A bunch of stuff that comes in the radio is much better than Trivium btw.

Grumma 11-04-2006 07:42 PM

The best metal bands have a small elite group of followers and dont get on the radio, preferring to personally produce and distribute their music from their base in the frozen forests of Scandanavia/insert other country with freezing weather and big metal scene. And they fashion their instruments from oak trees, eagle's guts and bison skin.

SixStringKing 11-04-2006 11:57 PM

way to stereotype vomit.

alytee123 11-06-2006 03:56 PM

Rofl at the idea that Contempt Breeds Contamination being a 'death metal' tune. Good song, but not death metal.
