Bodom After Midnight and Everytime I Die are decent too.
Something Wild!

Hatebreeder to me is just more of the same as FTR, though not as good...
Yeah, Somthing Wild is great also.

Dr. Killgreedy 07-29-2005 07:30 PM

yep. i agree.

I don't really like Everytime I Die that much.

Taste_My_Scythe 07-30-2005 08:24 AM

Hey there HateCrew. I'm back.
Am so stoked for next month; I just pray that I can get the Children of Bodom single...or at least find it somewhere.

IheartSP 07-30-2005 02:48 PM

Wow I leave for a week and come back and there hasn't even been 50 posts...

flamesofbodom 07-30-2005 03:11 PM

Hey, dude. When did you leave?

IheartSP 07-30-2005 03:22 PM

Last saturday, the morning after you looked at my songs

Shadows 07-30-2005 04:17 PM

How many people here left?

I am also back, and I feel like shit. I'm way out of practice on guitar (gone for a week) and now I don't know what the hell happened on the boards. But anyhoo, it's good to be back.

But I finally got Arsis - A Celebration of Guilt in the mail so I'm also happy. :)

Dr. Killgreedy 07-30-2005 04:24 PM

how is it? will you give a list of good songs? thanks.

Not much...there's Steerpike's FG on Power Metal (always commendable), some other cool FAs, competition...

All in all, a normal day. :p

Shadows 07-30-2005 04:37 PM

Doesn't sound like I missed a whole lot. Thanks for that. Now I just have to get up to pace on my axe and wait until November for Bodom to come to the US.

Arsis is amazing. I'm thinking of making some threads here and there on them, reviewing their album, tabbing some songs, and uploading. I just have to wait for their new EP so I can order that and a shirt from Willowtip.

flamesofbodom 07-30-2005 04:39 PM

Ive never heard of them except from you so...

Purple Floyd 07-30-2005 04:40 PM

My dad's friend's brother was a roomate with the guitarist of Arsis throughout college. He is one helluva guitar player.

Shadows 07-30-2005 04:42 PM

Yes, he is. That would've been beyond cool to room with him. He actually composed and recorded a 12 minute piece for some kind of unique ballet. This guy really knows his theory.

Anyone who doesn't know Arsis's music should die...or go find some, the latter of course is my preference.

flamesofbodom 07-30-2005 04:43 PM

1 Dad's
2 Friend's
3 Brother

Too much for belief....

Jk thats kickass. My dad's friend used to tour with Motorhead a while back

Shattered_Future 07-30-2005 04:45 PM

Yea, well MY dad is friends with a WHOLE bunch of musicians!!!

Unfortunately, the general population has no idea who they are...come to think of it, nobody outside the New York jazz circle, save for a few friends, knows who they are.
Anyone who doesn't know Arsis's music should die...or go find some, the latter of course is my preference.
Well, before i die, you want to upload some stuff?

Shadows 07-30-2005 04:47 PM

I don't know any musicians...my parents either... :upset:

They are the greatest band alive right now. No question.

Alright so maybe there's a question, but they're damn good.
Well, before i die, you want to upload some stuff?
Yeah, I'll hook you guys up with some uploads.

Dr. Killgreedy 07-30-2005 04:48 PM

alright man im gonna go check arsis right now as a matter of fact. thanks for the recommendation.

Shattered_Future 07-30-2005 04:49 PM

Alright so maybe there's a question, but they're **** good.
The first: That sucks...it's pretty sweet when we have parties though. Everybody brings an instrument...it's like one huge jam session.

The second: No, that award belongs to Nightwish.

The third: Damn straight.

Shadows 07-30-2005 04:59 PM
The second: No, that award belongs to Nightwish.
*sniff* Do you smell that?

...of course you do. That's the smell of a losing argument.

I'm joking of course. I'm not a big Nightwish fan, but I do love power metal (but Arsis comes first with all their greatness).

Shattered_Future 07-30-2005 05:01 PM

I'm afraid it's YOU who will lose the argument... :p

Shadows 07-30-2005 05:03 PM
I'm afraid it's YOU who will lose the argument... :p
No YOU. You're the grease monkey. Arsis OWNS you!!!!!!!! :smash:

Shattered_Future 07-30-2005 05:20 PM

Oh please...next to Nightwish, Arsis is as good as a priest at a Boy Scout convention... :p

Shred Danson 07-30-2005 05:24 PM

What a lame arguement.

ok Arsis is a badass melodic-death metal band. Nightwish is a badass power metal band, let's leave it at that. It's like saying "HEY MAN, THE BEATLES ARE LIEK WAY AWESOMER THAN BACH WILL EVER BE! LOLZ"...

Shadows 07-30-2005 05:26 PM

Well, we weren't serious. The entire thing was a joke so you can't expect it to be based on fact.

And...a priest at a Boy Scout convention?? What the hell does that mean!!??

Shred Danson 07-30-2005 05:31 PM

Oh, sorry then. :p I've been kinda irate lately, sorry.

A priest at a Boy Scout convention can only mean one thing:

Lots of converting children to Catholicism, c'mon get yer head outta the gutter!

Dr. Killgreedy 07-30-2005 05:33 PM

lol i really want to see c.o.b. when they come around back to the states.
