I don't have the CD :(

MalcolmYoungRock 04-14-2005 05:37 PM

I have it on iTunes because I borrowed it.

blue3 04-14-2005 08:54 PM

Which CD, The White Album or Magical Mystery Tour? I'll probably buy Magical Mystery Tour next..

MalcolmYoungRock 04-14-2005 08:57 PM

Hmmm... depends.

I'd say White Album, but it also depends on cost.

When you, or any body else who says "what album should I buy next" could you please also post some other things you have heard by the Beatles and liked, it makes the recommondation much easier, and we will be able to have a better pick for you. :)
For anyone who cares and feels like reading something, I present to you two overly long reviews.

Magical Mystery Tour

For those of you who don't care, The White Album is brilliant...I didn't have to pay that much for it as I got it second hand off amazon as well.
Wow dude good review. The White album is by far my favorite album of all time. Yes, I do agree there was alot of content on that album, but that was what made it so great. Every song sticks in your mind ( Well maybe not ALL but you get me) and plagues it for days. In my opinion i think people give it harsh words to its length are crazy. Those simple little songs carry a little something of there own. Each one short, catchy, and fun to listen to. Ringo starrs work on "Dont pass me by" was splendid. It truly shows his talent as an artist and gives him a real moment to shine on the album. Long Long Long by john lennon is also a quite nice number. Its slow and wierd and kinda changes pace on you, wich is good. Between the great piano and great keyboard work on this, you got yourself a good song.
And i being a Huge Paul McCartney fan, feel i must stick up for some of his his work on the album. His songs were great. He Expressed his talent to cover multiple song types. I mean you got metal, pop, country, rock, and a somewhat of surf rock song. This really shows how talented he is as a singer/songwriter/musician.
And you cant forget george. Well, im gonna have to, cause im to tired to type any more.

I just searched through my dad's old CD's and cassette tapes and found Beatles Anthology 2, Abbey Road, Revolver, Sgt Peppers.. but they're tapes not CDs :(

GeorgeHarrison 04-14-2005 10:12 PM

My dad has like, a big cassette collection, and in it i found an 9 tape rocording of "The Beatles A - Z" on wlvq 96.3. The radio station played every beatles song in alphebetical order. Its awesome, i stayed up listing to almost all if it a few weeks back. Apperantly alot of radio stations did this.

Leper 04-14-2005 11:05 PM

I think one of my local radio stations did it just recently.

blue3 04-14-2005 11:14 PM

Every weekend some radio stations play only Beatles songs for a few hours.

I haven't listened to the Beatles tapes yet, cause I have the CDs already

GeorgeHarrison 04-15-2005 10:53 AM

My classic rock radio station plays something called "Breakfast with the beatles."

MalcolmYoungRock 04-15-2005 05:23 PM

So my friend just sent me a copy of All Things Must Pass, but wait....

It's got the BEATLES playing it.

John cuts it short though, but it's worth a listen.

I'm uploading it on YSI right now.

If you get Let it Be... Naked, you get a second CD called Fly on the Wall and it has the Beatles sound clip of them recording stuff in the Let it Be sessions. All Things Must Pass is played there, so I'm guessing is the one you uploaded.

magicbus 04-16-2005 02:56 PM

What is All Things Must Pass?

Whoa. I can't believe this is comming from someone who has GeorgeHarrison as his username.

Long, long, long is a Harrisong. It's actually the song during his Beatle period that gives you a glimpse of what he's solo career would be like.

slowhand 04-16-2005 02:58 PM
What is All Things Must Pass?
All Things Must Pass is the title track of Harrison's first solo album.

I think it's the best Beatle solo work. I enjoy it more than Lennon Legend.
