Blind Guardian are touring in europe in September/October 2006 I think :D
/does dance

I need to see all these bands...

but why the hell are DT going to Wolverhampton?
seriously...it's such a craphole

Hells Bells 09-04-2005 04:44 PM
I wish I could see Dream theater... They are only playing 3 UK dates, two in London and oe in obscure Wolverhampton Why? I mean why?

not close enough to me to be able to go, plus I am finally out of cash, so I resign from going to gigs further away than Newcastle until next year...

on my list of bands I must see are

iced earth
blind guardian
cannibal corpse
mayhem
probably metallica...just to see what they're like live...
dream theater
sonata arctica
children of bodom
That's surprising, usually these bands' biggest fan bases are in Europe, I don't know why they would ignore England like that
They said that they were coming back in the spring though, hopefully that means a world tour with a decent number of UK dates.

Heh, your list is pretty much like mine, other than Mayhem and Cannibal Corpse...I like some black and death metal, but most of it isn't really my thing. I'm seeing CoB in November
I'd add a bunch of bands as well, like Opeth, who I'll be seeing soon, Angra, Dragonforce, Arch Enemy, Dark Tranquility, Hammerfall, Eduy (both of whom I missed this year :upset: ), Nightwish, Rhapsody, and many more that I don't feel like listing now.
Blind Guardian are touring in europe in September/October 2006 I think
Excellent, I'll be looking forward to that :D

Lord Abortion 09-04-2005 04:48 PM

yeah...I saw Nightwish for 3 songs at Download and it was great, there were problems getting there with a bomb threat on the plane, so they only got Nemo, I wish I had an angel and a couple of others.

All these bands seem to come to London and play or to a festival. The days of bands doing full UK tours, apart from UK bands are sadly over.

and I'm seeing Dragonforce in Leeds in 13 days

Kronos 09-04-2005 04:54 PM

And I'm seeing Nightwish and Paradise Lost in 21 days :D

Hells Bells 09-04-2005 04:55 PM

Three songs only? That sucks, but at least you got to see them. I still don't understand why the UK is so left out of the European tours.
And I'm seeing Nightwish and Paradise Lost in 21 days :D
Nightwish AND Paradise Lost? You lucky bastard :p
Well, I hope you have a great time, and tell us how it was :)

haha...Jon Schaffer doesn't like the internet

Kronos 09-04-2005 05:02 PM

I will, and may even get some pics/footage, which of course I'll post in either here or the Nightwish Thread ( see, UK doesn't always get left out of the best gigs....)
BTW - the "official" Nightwish Thread is languishing on page 4 here - someone bump it - I can't, I was the last poster...

I've got 4 songs off of it already

she is there at london right now seeing within temptation

Arucard 09-04-2005 05:21 PM

Shame Within Temptation suck, like most female fronted 'Power Metal' (losely used term++) bands.

shadow_stalker 09-04-2005 05:23 PM

You are not a very posotive person are you

also Hellsing rocks

Arucard 09-04-2005 05:23 PM

No i'm not very positive, but yes, Hellsing rocks. I wish all PM was like Hellsing.

I missed the fact that WT were playing here (UK) now - they're deffo on my "will see" list - we'll then see if they're as crap live as many on this forum have said...
/crosses fingers that they aren't

shadow_stalker 09-04-2005 05:24 PM

I don't think that would work, but it would be interesting to see

Arucard 09-04-2005 05:25 PM

I have seen Within Temptation live, and i wanted to die. The singer is so annoying, she thinks she is some kind of fairy/supernatrual witch.

And by PM being like Hellsing i mean revolutionary and 'out there,' if you know what im saying.

Lord Abortion 09-04-2005 05:27 PM

But she is really, really hot...
there is that...

shadow_stalker 09-04-2005 05:28 PM

I like Within temptation, but sharon denadel gets really annoying when she starts prancing about on stage and doing all that stuff she does (although she is fit)

Yeah i get what you mean

Ollie if you want to see Sonata we should go see them in finland next year, i doubt they will do a proper UK tour anytime soon *fingers crossed that they do*

Arucard 09-04-2005 05:29 PM

If you guys go see them in Finland, count me in. I'd love to do that.

Kronos 09-04-2005 05:31 PM

shadow_stalker 09-04-2005 05:32 PM

Yeah, count me in man...

I'll whore myself to bored housewives for the cash.

I have both Silence and elliptica...
Elliptica is by far their best album IMO
letter to dana, kingdom for a heart and the fantastic fullmoon are incredible tracks.

You want to borrrow next band practice?
this may be tommorrow if louie and slim can get there, you up for it?

Arucard 09-04-2005 05:39 PM

Where do you guys live?

Kronos 09-04-2005 05:40 PM

Abortion - you are mad.... Ecliptica is their worst album - sounds like Stratovarius.... Reckoning Night owns all. Mature SA that is.
