Not always. God Forbid, Lamb of God, All Shall Perish and The Black Dahlia Murder all have breakdowns in their music and none of them are Metalcore.

All Shall Perish is metalcore, they're part of the hardcore scene here in CA. They do border though, they bring in a lot of metalheads, they're Deathcore (my own genre) IMO.

lucky, i may not get to see hoods when they come by me since the closest they come is like 3.5 hours away. in georgia is where it will be at.

A lot of metal, especialy death metal, has breakdowns.

i didnt notice any breakdowns in death metal for a while. i just noticed a couple weeks ago when an aborted video i was watching had a breakdown.
