Egads, you need to get up on your Neil Young. Here is your homework:
Rust Never Sleeps
Everybody Knows This is Nowhere
Live at Massey Hall 1971
After the Gold Rush

And for some extra weirdness, try Reactor, Trans, or Freedom.

Lemonheads 4 lyfe.
I don't know why I didn't get more Neil Young ages ago. I bought Harvest about 2 years ago and loved it immediately but didn't listen to it much for some reason. I guess the reason is that I'm an idiot. I'm on it man.

AlienEater 12-13-2007 10:19 AM

Everybody knows this is Nowhere and Tonight's the Night are pretty essential

GBV - Hardcore Ufos

I have only listened to the 1st disc so far, the best of. But whatever, I'll listen to the rest later.

poopie 12-13-2007 10:20 AM

Rivers Cuomo - Alone: The Home Recordings of Rivers Cuomo

This is easilly the most interesting thing Rivers has released for a long time. I'm not really sure how good it is yet, but it's certainly got interesting ideas and a cool intimacy to it. It really sounds like the product of somebody mucking around at home rather than a polished release. Probably because it is.

negrodamus 12-13-2007 07:38 PM

Is there any way you could upload that to the mailing list?

samariah 12-13-2007 08:12 PM

Eliminator 12-13-2007 08:12 PM

Anus Invader 12-13-2007 11:35 PM

Little Man being Erased 12-14-2007 01:31 AM

The Smiths - Rank

I think my Smiths collection is complete, with the exception of any best of compilations. Yay for me.

Please refrain from using the word "interesting"

Nothing against you I just hate that word.

Little Man being Erased 12-14-2007 01:53 AM

Seems an odd thing to hate.

Zmev 12-14-2007 02:10 AM

Its a horrible blanket word.

Kyle 12-14-2007 03:01 AM
Please refrain from using the word "interesting"

Nothing against you I just hate that word.
I shall try and keep that in mind.
Is there any way you could upload that to the mailing list?
I might upload it to the mailing list, but I'm lazy so probably not. Besides, it'll be all over the internet in a few days and if you looked for it hard enough you could get it.

Glitterati 12-14-2007 11:11 AM

Sufjan Stevens

trying to beat this cold so I can par-tay this weekend

AlienEater 12-14-2007 11:14 AM

Metal Urbain - Anarchy in Paris

Apparently, they are a seminal french synth/post punk band from the late 70s who have greatly influenced Steve Albini. Also the first band to release anything on Rough Trade. Anyway, they are good, but it does get a little repetitive after awhile.

ATM 12-14-2007 11:29 AM

aw hell yeah!

I have that Metal Urbain album AlienEater but I've still to listen to it. I think I'll give it a go when Junkyard by The Birthday Party is finished. This album is so good, and the guitarist is brilliant.

asdf 12-14-2007 03:23 PM

Jethro Tull - Thick as a Brick

Radiohead - In Rainbows

Bukowski 12-15-2007 07:50 AM

Part Chimp - I Am Come

reminds me a bit of Unwound - similar vocalist, noisy distorted guitars, and excellent dynamics. Suffice to say I am really enjoying it, and I'm also seeing them tonight. They're playing at the Rock Action label's xmas party, where I'm hoping to see and get AUTOGRAPHS from various members of Mogwai.

I am also digging Dirty Three.

Neoteric 12-15-2007 08:10 AM

Bro, where is that xmas party? Not that I'll be able to go, just wondering.
