Exactly. And you seem to just have a family that would make a way better TV show than mine.

ATM 07-29-2005 07:08 PM

I repeat, I am going to go see Apocalyptica :-D

Sup Pete?
Rebel Without a Crew is turning out ot be one of the best purchases I've made in a while. Very inspiring.

Whilst thinking of movies, I've had to revise my plan. The editing software I want is PC exclusive, so there goes the PowerBook idea. However, a little research into the matter showed that Gateway notebooks are less expensive and every bit as reliable. So now I'm saving up for a Gateway notebook, Adobe Premiere Pro editing suite, and a set of headphones.
BIG headphones?

Adobe kicks epic ass...nice choice.

My dad got it from one of his friends who works in the circus...in turn, he bought it in Mexico for 10 bucks. That's how we got Microsoft Office as well. :p

Because your cousin is actually your half-brother, which totally confuses me.

BludgeonySteve 07-29-2005 07:46 PM

It wouldn't if you lived in Alabama!

It's kinda confusing but I can see how it's possible

ZING
I knew a time would come when I could post this.

Things that Bill Gates would change if he was from Alabama:

1. They would be called "Winders95, WindersNT, and Winders 3.1".

2. Instead of the hour glass wait icon, you'd get an empty beer bottle.

3. Occasionally you'd open a winder that was covered with a hefty bag and duct tape.

4. Dialog boxes that give you the choice of "Yes, No, or Cancel" would now read "Ahh-right, Naw, or Git".

5. Instead of the "Ta-da" sound when opening Winders, you would now hear the "Dueling Banjos".

6. The "Recycle Bin" in Winders95 would now be called "Out-House".

7. When you open the sound player, you would hear a digitized drunk yelling "Freebird".

8. Powerpoint would now be known as "Parpawnt".

9. Microsoft's programming tolls would be "Vishul Basic" and "Vishul C++".

10. The Winders95 logo would be the Confederate Flag.

11. Instead of the title "VP", Microsoft big shots will be called "Cuz".

12. Hardware could be repaired using parts from an old Trans Am or a Chevy truck.

13. Four words: Daisy Duke Screen Saver.

14. "Well, next thing ya know ol' Bill's a billionaire......"

15. Flight Simulator game would be replaced by Tractor Pull Simulator.

16. Microsoft's CEO: Bubba Gates.

I don't care what anyone says, Dueling Banjos is a good song.

It's cool. I played it on guitar with my cousin once. It sounded pretty sweet.

It's funny because Alabama has a lot of hicks.

Yes, big headphones. I need to drown out everything around me in order to edit sound.

As for getting it for 10 bucks.... damn you.

Some guy screamed "Play Freebird" at a Blue Man Group show.

I was like...whoa. This guy must SERIOUSLY be on an acid trip.

To Steerpike: It's always good to have connections... :p

Steerpike 07-29-2005 08:32 PM

I have connections, but they never get me anything.

When I saw the Blue Man Group in New York they asked if anyone had any requests, and someone said Freebird. They actually played like 10 seconds of it...

BludgeonySteve 07-29-2005 08:38 PM

Hehe. I was jamming with my band in my friend's garage and his mom came out and told us to play freebird.

Riva 07-29-2005 09:09 PM

Hehe, at a Battle of the Bands comp at my University, I heard (out of 10 bands) no less than 4 different versions of Freebird and 3 different versions of Enter Sandman. :p

Arucard 07-29-2005 09:12 PM

Oh. My. God.

Arucard 07-29-2005 09:17 PM

Tonight = productive.

Riva 07-29-2005 09:20 PM

Last night, I watched TV with my girlfriend and my mother. Hardly exciting compared to your night, Joe. :p

Arucard 07-29-2005 09:22 PM

I have used to word fcuk about 100 times on the way home. I honestly just can't believe it.

Good Lord.

Shred Danson 07-29-2005 09:33 PM

Tonight's been a boring night for me. Band only jammed for like an hour today, and I had nothing else to do for the rest of the day.

Riva, did you get my e-mail?

ATM 07-29-2005 09:38 PM

I haven't done anything tonight, really.

I am trying to recover from last night ;)

You NEED to hurry up and record something so I can hear it. :D

Kurtz 07-29-2005 09:40 PM
I remember when I was about 13 or 14, it was late at night, my buddies and I were hangin' out, and all of a sudden, somebody shouted "DUDE! Let's TP (my ex girlfriend)'s house!" and everybody was like "OH HELL YES!", everybody including me, because, well to be honest she was quite the bitch. But anyway, we got like five 12-roll packs and headed on out to her house. We completely covered the house and trees and cars in TP, but one of my friends thought it'd be a great idea to turn on the hose and spray a bunch of toilet paper onto the windows, because it would be stuck in the morning, but apparently, the family was still up because they just got home an hour earlier from an Angels game, because right when he started to do that, the ex's dad opens the door, says in a deep angry voice "HEY", and we're all like, "EVERY MAN FOR HIMSELF!"...good times, great memories.

I've had some fairly weird experiences with TPing. But mainly on the side of giving, not recieving.

What movies did you see DM?

ATTN - REGARDS MY POLL

Okay, as I guess most of you guys will be aware, some bands were a little contentious when it comes to 'modern rock'. Here are the ones that accumulated enough votes to get in, but that still might be hotspots. Can I please get some opinions on whether they should be allowed in or not?

Korn
Rammstein
Green Day
Kyuss
System Of A Down
Tool

Cain 07-29-2005 09:42 PM

I'm going to Tucson, Arizona to visit my girlfriend in four days. :so excited:

Unfortunately, she's gonna wake me up at 5:30 AM to go to her dumb work-out club on at least one of the days I'm there. :-/

System of a Down should certainly be included. The others I'm concerned about: especially with Green Day, Tool and to a lesser extent Korn I'm concerned about fanboys ruining the poll.

I have no real opinion on Rammstein or Kyuss.
