it's been far too long mang :( you should come here more often

finished my exams yesterday :)

except it doesn't feel like i've just had my exams. I think i've been overconfident during my exams, so I probably ****ed them up  which would suck :(

so, my band now has the best guitarist in the school as lead... he's a proper virtuoso, too.

Can you use another device to record several tracks simultaniously into one track of a digital recorder? For instance, plug a mixer into a track and record. I guess you can, would this in turn affect sound quality?

Thanks alot honey

Yeah i still got two weeks of exams to go so i have tried to not post on here too much. Since we probably talked last, the old band split up, so right now i am playing with this heavy band. I really like it, not so much the music but the freedom they give me to do advanced basslines. I will post up recordings soon. Have to go, got a match in a couple of hours. See both of you later

I will be in here much more in the near future

Chris

Yup you can use a mixer to do that.
Just the strips on the mixer would be channels as opposed to tracks :) so you'd be taking multiple signals from channels into a single track on your digital recorder. As for the sound quality, that'd just depend on your cables, instruments, miking techniques and the mixer and digital unit itself. You shouldn't get any extra noise or reduction in sound quality from sending multiple channels on the mixer to one track on the recorder. :)

so, last night a friend came round, and we got wicked drunk.

I drank between a litre and a litre and a half of alcoholic beverages (no beer or largers, but spirits, liquers etc), their strengths being between 17% and 45%

good times

tonight - marijuana/alcohol party/barbeque. rawk!

also, chris, freedom with basslines = doublerawk, our bassist was in two bands, a differnt band first, but dumped them for us becuase A) he has a zillion times more freedom and B) we rawk

StoneRosesFanatic 06-11-2005 08:53 AM
