It would be a total 5 if flav didn't **** up every song with his presence.

I'm going to have to agree with this. It's not so bad when he just raps the choruses but his solo tracks just blow.

The Jungler 03-13-2007 08:09 PM

Liz Phair - Exile in Guyville
Xiu Xiu - The Air Force

I listened to the Xiu Xiu a little when it first came out, and just bought it this Sunday. Really great album. I've been listening to Liz Phair a lot lately, mainly because I'm thinking of reviewing it. Also a really great album.

France Gall - Best Selection
Todd Rundgren - Something/Anything?
Todd Rundgren - Something/Anything?
this is good times. I have yet to listen to the whole thing despite having it for like two years, because I keep going back to the Ultimate Trifecta ("I Saw the Light", "Couldn't I Just Tell You", "Hello It's Me").

Robert Crumb 03-13-2007 08:58 PM

Listening to the whole thing over and over again makes my head hurt. But yeah, those are money. "Black Maria" is sweet, too. I'm about halfway through writing a review for it.

Really?

Kyle 03-14-2007 08:53 AM

I'm just digging everything by The Cure at the moment, such an amazing band.

Particuarly Head on the Door, Wish and Disintegration.

The Great Decay 03-14-2007 11:06 AM

I haven't listened to the Cure in a long while. But the song "...It's Friday I'm in love" or whatever, is damn catchy.

pixiesfanyo 03-14-2007 11:18 AM

Yusef Lateef - Live In Sweden

I think this is '67?

JonM 03-14-2007 11:24 AM

Lately I've been digging live poetry more than music, actually, though when the two convene upon the same moment, it's nice. I like Ed Sanders, John Giorno, and Anne Waldman, because their poetry is music.

Somehow, I feel like no one in here cares, though.

perriwinkle 03-14-2007 11:35 AM

yeah because none of us are capable of appreciating poetry
