Yea, I like last caress the most also. Or maybe whiskey in the jar. not sure. Misfits' last caress is good too, vocals are bit weird though.

I'm downloading metallica at Rock Am Ring 03 vid now so it should be cool. They played battery, one, and some other stuff.
Can you all beleive I don't have garage inc?

PepsiMetal 12-10-2005 06:32 PM

I don't have garage inc either. In fact, I don't have much albums at all. I usually download stuff for now. I'm getting job this january hopefully, so I'll probably buy most metallica, maiden, hammerfall, blind guardian, and some other bands' I like albums. :)

Stormrider 12-10-2005 06:34 PM

I only have MoP, RTL, KEM and the S/T. I borrow AJFA.

Ive taken all my money on cd's since the past few months. Ill buy like 5 more during the holidays and theres Christmas.

Have you heard the original Thin Lizzy version? Or worse the traditional version.

iluvkirkhammett 12-10-2005 06:37 PM
Anyone know if S&M is on DVD?
Yes it has, I got it for Christmas last year.

ThrashMaster27 12-10-2005 06:40 PM

Garage Inc is pretty crap if you ask me. The 2nd CD is the only one worth owning and it was horribly overpriced.

Currently the only Metallica album I don't own is Re-Load and that's because I lost it ages ago. I also have Kill 'Em All and Ride The Lightning on Vinyl.

i agree. the 1st cd has 2 or 3 okay songs but otherwise it is pretty meh...

mr black 12-10-2005 06:54 PM

completely agreed ^^^^^^^^^

Whale and Wasp 12-10-2005 07:03 PM

i really want to hear a new mtallica album... i heard rumors that lars said they would release a pink floyd-ish one this year, but obviously were wrong....

mr black 12-10-2005 07:08 PM

Metallica.... Pink Floydish :amaze: ..... eh

Whale and Wasp 12-10-2005 07:12 PM

 yeah thats what i also thought when i first heard it

mr black 12-10-2005 07:14 PM

Ah well fair enough, whats everyones favourite pieces of Metallica's equipment, personally i love James's stainless steel textured explorer and kirk's mummy guitar. I touched kirks guitar "the caution" he left it here in Australia after touring last year :D

PepsiMetal 12-10-2005 07:20 PM

I like james' white explorer he has. He barely uses it though. It looks incredible.

vashts80 12-10-2005 07:21 PM

I liked Newsted's bullet-plated wah pedal (seen in Cunning Stunts) heh

I also liked all his misc Sadoskys and Alembics

Stormrider 12-10-2005 07:59 PM
I like james' white explorer he has. He barely uses it though. It looks incredible.
I have a pic of him with it in my Metal Encyclopedia. Its realy nice. His Diamond plate one is nice too.

Doesnt he have an ESP one with that shape too ?

PepsiMetal 12-10-2005 08:16 PM

In SKOM that guy said metallica owns over 500 guitars so I mean they probably have all shapes of ESPs.

Umm, it's crappy because they are covers.

But they are the best covers made, it's kind of hard making an MF medley without killing it.

I should probably watch SKOM.

Im not to sure, but in Cunning Stunts, Hetfeild had a Flying V for the Medly..thats too is a realy nice guitar.

I'm quite aware it's covers. I still think the first CD is worthless, regardless.

Nobody should ever try cover Mercyful Fate, aside from maybe Priest.

There was a vinyl set that Metallica put together, only 5,000 made, and my friend could have gotten one. They're on eBay now. I want one badly. It's got I think the first 5 albums in it.

It's horribly overpriced, yes, but it's probably their best album since the Black album.
Anyone want me to upload my very own version of Of Wolf And Man?
Yes

and PepsiMetal, that'd be great

I'd give it a D- cause Hetfield doesn't scream during Curse of the Pharoahs. He just does that daft voice.

Fair enough.

I don't know, disc one is far away from disc two in musical styles.

Free Speech for the dumb is weird, but it is as good as the original.
Turn the Page was actually better than the original.
The Sabbath medley was 50-50.
It's Electric was crap.
Loverman is better than the original.
MF it's a challenge and they still made it.
Astronomy was great.
Whiskey in the Jar was great.
Tuesdays gone is 50-50.
The More I See is 50-50.

I think most people dislike disc one because it sounds softer than disc two, but come on the Mercyful Fate Medley was awesome(vocals were...meh), they still have the thrash in their blood, damn money.

ThrashMaster27 12-10-2005 10:34 PM

Reason it's different musically is cause the first CD was new recordings, the second wasn't. You probably already know that anyway, plus it's easy to tell.

The instruments are spot on in the Mercyful Fate medley, aside from the drums being a bit odd. The only problem I have with it is indeed Hetfields vocals.

The_Riddler 12-10-2005 10:48 PM

I really enjoyed both cd's of Gragage inc. I don't care if the songs don't sound as good as the originals might of, but I loved the Mercyful Fate medley, Astronomy, Turn The Page among many, many others.

There were a lot of songs on the second disc I didn't care for at all, not in the slightest bit. I thought there were only a select few alright songs on the 2nd disc. I still don't like the song "So What".

iluvkirkhammett 12-11-2005 12:53 AM

Turn The Page is such a great song, I love both the original and Metallica's version.

blue3 12-11-2005 01:01 AM

Who's the original by?

ThrashMaster27 12-11-2005 01:03 AM
Who's the original by?
PepsiMetal 12-11-2005 01:04 AM

iluvkirkhammett 12-11-2005 07:04 AM

Yeah, it's quite nice, but I haven't listened to it in ages.

Btw, your half an hour away from me:)

timmySmi 12-11-2005 08:12 AM

I liked Jason's improvising of the bass In Turn The Page he's Sadowsky sounds absolutely sick.

Mr. Black 12-11-2005 02:54 PM
