I haven't heard more than like fifteen seconds of Snowing, but Audio Recording Club are brilliant.
|
Snowing is better musically, but the vocals in ARC were amazing.
It's so weird seeing people know about ARC online, what with how they would play like high school battle of the bands **** in my area all the time haha. |
they've gained a lot of hype due to Snowing, Street Smart Cyclist etc.
btw guys you should all listen to Kollwitz. http://www.mediafire.com/?hbfnnzzdnjr. I seriously don't know anyone who doesn't like this band. they are so amazing. especially live. they simply destroy all. some of the heaviest **** ever. |
As heavy as Incantation?
|
it's not death metal if that's what you're asking. give it a spin. I think you'll enjoy it.
|
Well then it's not the heaviest thing ever. :p
|
he said 'some of the heaviest **** ever'
reading comprehension |
Still not as heavy as Incantation.
|
I don't find death metal heavy. when I think of 'heavy', I think of Kollwitz, Nadja, Celeste, Boris, Pyramids, Sunn O))), Tangerine Dream, Dolorian etc.
drone, doom and other misanthropic stuff. |
Silly Norwegians will never grasp true crushing brutality.
|
I find it 'crushing' and 'brutal', just not as 'heavy'. have you heard Unanimated by the way? a Swedish death metal band. pretty cool. a few of their songs are too alike, but they are fairly cool. they were a part of that whole depressing and melodic Göteborg/Gothenborg/whatever-you-guys-call-it death metal scene.
|
I don't really like any Gothenburg **** except At The Gates and really old In Flames anymore, idk.
I like a lot of the rip-offs with breakdowns more, like Prayer For Cleansing and the like, you know? |
I'm not into In Flames or stuff like that myself. I have their second album (first is too stupid, next ones are too boring). it's okay. at least that one track...
anyway I just checked, and it seems Unanimated aren't from Göteborg, but Stockholm. either way, their album Ancient God of Evil is pretty cool. suicidal misanthropic death metal. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ohO-i73bzc idk I just like it. |
Subterranean-Whoracle = solid tbh. You just don't understand it man. :p
This Unanimated band sounds like p solid MDM. This song reminds me of Cry For The Black Sun by Intestine Baalism. |
mappy do you talk to Audio Recording Club or do you otherwise know of any way to get me their CDs? they don't respond to messages and they never sent me the album. =/

I know people who know them, I'll ask if they still have shi. |
saw loma prieta, remembered why a lot of emo bands and shows are lame.
|
I <3 Loma Prieta. :)
|
I'm getting the album now. that guy I ordered from was in the midst of moving when I ordered it, so it slipped his mind.
don't know where to get the ep though. and I like that even better. |
Can't have my copy. :gloats:
|
Godbless Shotmaker.
|

i had this feeling not too long ago but replace bands with fans |
don't worry. I'm sure they think you are lame as well.
|
does everyone just stand still/shuffle about a bit and 'listen' and have no fun at all
/never been to an emoz show |
don't worry. I'm sure they think you are lame as well.
im sure they do but considering ive been going to these shows longer than those hipster swine i feel my opinion holds a little more water than theirs, and especially yours;) |
Godbless Shotmaker.
I ****ing love them. |
I ****ing love them.

I <3 Loma Prieta. :)
agreeing with this post
Godbless Shotmaker.
agreeing with this post sans-religion |

it must be tiring to walk around being better than everyone all the time. |
it must be tiring to walk around being better than everyone all the time.
you get used to it after a while. |
its either bunch of scrawny awkward looking kids who dont really listen to hardcore/punk "spazzing" out in a rage of emotion throwing their arms up in the air while stopping the ground singing along. is that how skramz got its name? because i can imagine that described as "skraming" lawl
if not those then its new jacks who were listen to la dispute i dont know if i just grew out of it (emo) or if its just me sticking to a certain number/kinds of bands but the performance came out as cheesy to me. im trying not to be harsh, just honest. |
I ****ing love them.

heard that

agreeing with this post sans-religion
I must concur with the love for Shotmaker. Its been a difficult task to stop playing their discography since I got it.
does everyone just stand still/shuffle about a bit and 'listen' and have no fun at all /never been to an emoz show
I saw TOuche Amore with Converge the other day and thats pretty much what was going on, aside from screaming the lyrics during the a cappella bits. |
really? when they came here, at least the people up in front (myself included) were doing more than shuffling, but then again, the majority of folks behind us didnt really do anything
just move up and make things happen |
every Touche Amore video I've ever seen has been full of moshing. ooff.
|
Yeah, when I saw them people moshed during Honest Sleep. I don't get it.
|
I think it was because people were mostly still coming in and considering the fact that Gaza, Coalesce, and Converge were coming after them, I guess people just didn't want to get active that early on. Overall, that crowd was pretty wack until Converge.
|
Surprised you guys haven't noticed this yet but people will literally mosh to anything.
|
ive moshed @ black metal shows
more to rile up hipsters than anything |
Hahahahaha, Mappy we seriously gotta hang out sometime.
