So I'm listening to Gorguts - [I]Obscura[/I] and I oddly enough like it on the first listen. It never gets boring. The guitars are constantly playing something interesting and sometimes noisy, which I like.

you definitely should, IMO considered dead isn't that good but obscura and from wisdom to hate are both really solid

Considered Dead is good wtf. Erosion of Sanity and From Wisdom To Hate are my favourites though.

i listened to it again, i didn't really dig it, even though a lot of elements i usually like are there. i think it just doesn't have as much impact on me as the other 3, which I heard early on when I was getting into metal, while I only heard considered dead maybe last year. i guess i'm not very objective
