You know what's so contradictory about it is that there are a bunch of idiots who hardly post in R&M at all that go and blast emo because Blink 182 sings about their girlfriends, and in turn, they blast R&M because the actions of well, a close minded idiot.

No Petrucci can play jazz because he knows theory. Jazz is more complicated in chord changes and voiceing than anything. The jazz teacher is also a session musician for studios all over the city. He's also been on world jazz tours tons of times. He can play anything and shred like none other just sitting there, and he's fat as hell too. Also it's not just any jazz teacher because I go to an arts school with tons of very talented musicians. He's also VERY respected in the Milwaukee jazz scene.

The reason he isn't doing bigger things is because he's past those years since he's getting old.

Jazz players can and will own John. And many other players are extremely better then Petrucci, he has just been blown out of proportion.

Also John went to Berklee to study Jazz mind you.

And speed wise, Rudess is nothing special as most people think he is so fast and such, but knowledge wise, that is another story.

Dream Theater is just an overrated band blown out of proportion. Yes, they do have technical skill, but they are not the best as alot of idiots make them out to be.

That's one of the reasons I've posted in here so much lately it's usually been just "I think (band) is very good, wut r ur opinionz guys?", etc...

:lol: I did rant about him graduating from berklee, which is an acheivement and should be looked upon with high regard. But i thought this was kinda stupid so i deleted it.

And I didn't mention rudess' speed, it's his control when playing a proper piano that I admire.

Alot of times you can get into Berklee just because you have money.....

I must say though that Rudess has perfect form and technique.

I'd say the most underrated singer is whoever sings for Extol. Man that guy has so much control and range it's just amazing.

I think I have heard Gloriana before, good stuff.

I just think Dramians voice is so unique and so powerfull. And alot of people just dismiss him and his band as sh!tty nu-metal.

As for Dramain, I think he would fit in well with Dream Theater even with the monkey noises. I really hope the next cd really delivers so that people will shut up about the band sucking. He's an amazing singer.

Pre-released tracks make it seem like it will be worse than The Sickness :(

(I really didn't enjoy the sickness too much. I think believe is so much more consistent in quality and varied in sound)
