Ah, I just read it, and yes, it's the error of the tape machines that made that and similar pieces work.
Sorry "what I've been digging lately" thread. |
i can't wait til next year when i have an apartment so i can bring my keyboard to school. i'm gonna hook it up to Reason and become the world's happiest man :)

here's a Polish indie rock band. not TOO weird considering they are from Poland, just pleasant. all the songs are available for free d/l so check it out if youre just haphazardly searching for new music |
I am remembering my love for Portishead.
|
Octopus Project
They're pretty awesome. Whenever I try and describe them to people I say 'they're like Battles, but ten times more poppy!', so thats what I'm going to do now. |
Tom Waits - Bone Machine
I'm feeling a big Tom Waits kick coming on. |
quick stop it with cough syrup and lots of self-induced coughing
whenever i get a big tom waits kick i sound like a drunk fat albert for a week and a half :/ |
Doseone - Ha
Can't sleep. Listening to this until I can. |
Ferraby Lionheart - Catch The Brass Ring
Reviewing for radio |
Flying Saucer Attack- New Lands
Upsilon Acrux- Galapagos Momentum |
Aesop Rock - None Shall Pass
Since it features John Darnielle on one song, and samples The Residents on another, I determined I needed to hear the entire album. |
Silver Jews-American Water
|
Tenniscoats. Very spritely stuff, I guess. I like it. But I'm a huge pussy.
|
Uzeda-Stella
Like Shellac mixed with Hot Snakes. |
RIDE THE DRAGON TOWARD THE CRIMSON EYE
FLAP THE WINGS UNDER MARS RED SKY |
Aesop Rock - None Shall Pass

Docter D, you going to Langerado?
|
Track is Citronella, and he samples Smelly Tongues. He samples the Snakefinger version, though, not the one from Meet The Residents.
And the Track with John Darnielle is Coffee. |
Been starting to get into some post-rock so this evening I've been listening to:
Slint-Spiderland Explosions in the Sky-The Earth is not a Cold Dead Place Also thinking of downloading some Comets on Fire and Mogwai eventually, any albums from them or other good post rock that you guys recommend? |
Docter D, you going to Langerado?
Yes. If I missed it, I don't know what I'd do. |

They're pain. Listen to Blue Cathedral. |
Yes. If I missed it, I don't know what I'd do.
Word, I'll let you know if I'm coming. |
blue cathedral destroiz avatar
blue cathedral destroiz avatar
HAVE U EVEN HEARD "DOGWOOD RUST" AND "THE SWALLOW'S EYE"?!?!?! WTFFFFFFF Plus Blue Cathedral is more jam based while Avatar is more song based so you can't really compare. The Burning Star Core split almost destroys Blue Cathedral though, but that's because it destroys the very universe itself. |
Neil Young - Harvest
Battles - Mirrored The Ergs! - Dorkrockcorkrod Jawbreaker - 24 Hour Revenge Therapy The Arctic Monkeys - Your Favourite Worst Nightmare In other news, last night I spent 4 hours at Sydney airport waiting for my delayed flight. Needless to say I was slightly drunk by the time I finally got on a plane. |
i watched England play Portugal in last year's World Cup from an airport bar
they had really bad cheeseburgers. i was totally unsatisfied |
Tenniscoats. Very spritely stuff, I guess. I like it. But I'm a huge pussy.
I saw them earlier in the year. The singer was cute and the guitar dude kicked ***. |

Downloaded a bunch of albums I knew I should have:
Thom Yorke- The Eraser Death From Above 1979- You're A Woman, I'm A Machine Air- Talkie Walkie and Moon Safari All of them are fantastic, I'm loving The Eraser particularly. I also downloaded Architecture In Helsinki's In Case We Die again, I forgot how much I loved this album. |
The Lights - Diamonds and Dirt
The Langley School's Music Project |
Tom Waits - Rain Dogs
Tom Waits - Bone Machine Jimmy Eat World - Chase This Light JEW is better than I was expecting. |
Listening to "Clap Hands" right now, so good
|
Miles Davis & Gil Evans - Porgy and Bess
My favorite of their collaborations. Totally amazing. |
les savy fav - let's stay friends
xbxrx - sixth in sixes christmas with the rat pack brian eno - ambient 1: music for airports (when i'm studying) |
Mark Ronson - Version

Air - Talkie Walkie
|
