TSO is great to see live every few years, but not really all that worthwhile to listen to on record.
I was just listening to Souls of Black lol
Can't you see that the world we live in Political lies are just corporate decisions \m/ |
My roommate was talking about TSO and I had to show him some Testament.

If I have to listen to xmas music, I choose TSO. |

I'd rather classical music, tbh. |

^^^^This. |
Everyone should attend at least one TSO show, just for the festive experience.
|
I will at some point. I think what they do is great; I would just rather listen to other things.
They just played here a couple weeks ago; I elected not to go. I will sometime though. |

This. Not to mention it might change your view on the band as well seeing them live. Personally they have not disappointed me yet with their performance and stage show. |
They usually bust out a couple nice covers interspersed in their set, and while I've never seen this happen, guest musicians have appeared on stage with them and the crowd goes nuts for that.
I still love them on record, but their tickets are pretty cheap and you won't walk out of there feeling like you wasted your money. |

I'm sure there much better live. They just seem like that type of band. |
I hear they are surprisingly heavy live.
|
That's what my buddy told me a couple weeks ago.
|
They must be making crazy money in that band. Venues are just packed.
But they deserve it, they're all fantastic musicians who've put in their time elsewhere. |
I would go see them but they never seem to leave North America.

This is my Xmas musix:

And I have been lucky enough to see them twice so far with Alex Skolnick and Anna Phoebe. I paid 56 dollars for my ticket this year, and it was well worth the money. |

Their short cover of Layla (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A1R3KSpIrqg) is pretty cool. And yeah, I agree, TSO is full of more-than-simply-competent musicians. It's just cool for the starpower effect, I suppose. |
I heard Mappy was a guest musician at one show and added sweet brees to all the carols.

YESSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!! I'm finally home from work!!!!!!!!
