I haven't seen The Who episode in forever.
I love the Simpsons they always make so many classic rock referneces. Thats really the only way they are better then Family Guy IMO all Family Guy has for classic rock references is

"yeah Dark Side of the Moon totally lines up with the Wizered of Oz"

and Stewie after playing a banjo solo "I've got blisteres on me fingers!!"

Distant Echoes 05-10-2005 06:55 PM

I just picked up 20 CDs from my neighbor...hes on vacation, so i decided Id go through the trouble of answering my own question for him if i can borrow any.

Im subscribing to Comcast high-speed tomorrow hopefully, and Ill have all my music up for grabs for anybody willing to it over AIM or the boards. I already typed up a list of everything i have, but i expect some stuff in return :)

Rolling Stones arrival date - Oct 10-11. Them tix are mine

Distant Echoes 05-10-2005 06:56 PM

Illmatic 05-10-2005 07:17 PM

The one where they move south because of the Witness Protection Program.

TheDMV 05-10-2005 07:18 PM

I think it's the new ones, which I regretfully have seen none of. :upset:

PinkFreud 05-10-2005 07:19 PM

Glitterati 05-10-2005 07:22 PM

So, are any of you ungrateful bastards going to take my Zappa album I just slaved over:angry:?

Distant Echoes 05-10-2005 07:22 PM

Thats my second favorite episode, next to the Y2k episode.

"i dont take coupons from chickens anymore...not since last time"

The Classic Rock thread has found new meaning!

I don't quite understand the Bob Marely colors, but whatever. It could be better, but Cream is better than no Cream.

Distant Echoes 05-10-2005 07:31 PM

that was sooooo 10 seconds ago robo.

Thats a sweet shirt lunch. Does look a little Marley-ish. I noticed a sudden uproar in Grateful Dead shirts, as well as Zeppelin (all the same too). Ive been getting into that physcadelic stuff lately too, hence the avators

lunch998 05-10-2005 07:33 PM

There are a ridiculous amount of Dead shirts at online stores.

Distant Echoes 05-10-2005 07:36 PM

I should get one myself. I still want more dead albums...Im really comin around to them

lunch998 05-10-2005 07:37 PM

What albums of theirs do you already own?

TheDMV 05-10-2005 07:39 PM

Could I get your old one?

I'm listening to Freak Out! right now CG. I'm on track 2. It's so diffrent. It's a very cool album. I'll go more indepth when I'm finished listeining to it.

Distant Echoes 05-10-2005 07:41 PM

American Beauty, in the dark, greatest hits.

I've heard a ton of songs on the AOL radio for the past week too, which is why i want more, but they just say all the songs come from a greatest hits album.

Im gonna head out now anyway. If anybody wants to do some AIM trading tomorrow or the day after, whenever the hell Im on, echoes4258. I can give you my list of music, since i dont wanna waste space on here.

JonG 05-10-2005 07:50 PM

I need a CSN or Dream Theater shirt.

lunch998 05-10-2005 08:05 PM

I haven't found any CSN shirts.

Jam2Me 05-10-2005 08:10 PM

This site is pretty decent for shirts...especially if you don't have a Credit Card.

Badmoon 05-10-2005 08:35 PM

If you want good/less seen Grateful Dead shirts, go to their site or Liquid Blue.

Bass_Wolf 05-10-2005 08:53 PM

Has anyone heard of the following Classical Rock bands?

Saxon
Thunder
Quireboys
UFO
Yes

Spectrum 05-10-2005 08:57 PM

Yes is constantly in my 3 CD cycle in my stereo. They are one of my favorite bands.

The others, however, are new-ish to me.

I've heard Yes and UFO, and I think I've only heard of Saxon, but not any of their music, though I could have with out knowing it.
