Nice

I found a cover of that by the Dead or someone, I should look for it again
EDIT: It was the Doors

Broken Arrow 05-09-2005 06:59 PM

I've heard it by QMS, The Doors, George Thorogood and Bo.

lunch998 05-09-2005 07:02 PM

I think the Dead have done it aswell.
I think they Dead have done it aswell.
Probably have.

I have a cover of Tomorrow Never Knows done by Gov't Mule, only its 10 min long.

BludgeonySteve 05-09-2005 07:03 PM

The George Thorogood one is the best.*

Walrus Gumboot 05-09-2005 07:05 PM

How many covers of All Along The Watchtower do you have? I have
Dylan
Grateful Dead
Dylan and the Dead
Jimi Hendrix
Neil Young

Broken Arrow 05-09-2005 07:06 PM

I was listening to George while cutting the grass today.

He's soo cool.

/only has his greatest hits

jpj 05-09-2005 07:08 PM

Didn't The Who and The Band do Who Do You Love, too?

BludgeonySteve 05-09-2005 07:09 PM

MalcolmYoungRock 05-09-2005 07:09 PM

Didn't Avril Lavigne cover All Along the Watchtower or Knockin' On Heaven's Door?

BludgeonySteve 05-09-2005 07:12 PM
Didn't Avril Lavigne cover All Along the Watchtower or Knockin' On Heaven's Door?
It was Knocking On Heaven's Door.

Atleast I hope that that was all she covered.

Broken Arrow 05-09-2005 07:15 PM

She has to be Canada's biggest disgrace.

Is she blonde now?

MalcolmYoungRock 05-09-2005 07:16 PM
Didn't someone recently cover My Generation?

Is she blonde now?
*yet

When I went to Canada I was shocked when I heard her stuff being played all over the place. I thought she died or something already

MalcolmYoungRock 05-09-2005 07:20 PM

AND!

GET THIS!

She changed the lyrics of the song...

"I hope I die before I get old" - The Who

"I hope I DON'T die before I get old" - Hilary Duff

Broken Arrow 05-09-2005 07:20 PM

Heh we all posted at 9:17.

really I don't hear any Avril being played at all.

ATM 05-09-2005 07:21 PM

My dad already said that we can go

Yeah, I'm going to try to go see it. I think this may set the recored for the most number of people stoned during a broadway show.
So who's excited for The Wall being made into a Broadway show?

I'm looking forward to it.

Roger had more control this time in writing the show, so the mood is going to be more humerous and subtle than the movie which was just really depressing.

I'd definetly go if he reunites with Gilmour and they put aside their differences to play the show

/not gonna happen.

Thats everyone's favorite line! That line = rock 'n' roll.

I'd love to go see The Wall on broadway.

I would too, or anything classic-rock related on broadway, esp. if "We Will Rock You" hits NYC

I wanna see Spamalot.

ATM 05-09-2005 07:57 PM

I'd like to see Spamalot too. Hank Azaria is great.

that would be sweet.

that is, if I haven't already killed myself after learning that Avril Lavigne and Hilary Duff have disgraced wonderful songs.

I also heard there was going to be a broadway show about John Lennon

John Mclaughlin & Jeff Beck - Django

look what i do for you guys. uploading a song here so you dont have to check dboons thread. this is an excellent example of becks talent. in case you cant recognize his tone, he solos first. try to ignore mclaughlin for now, but definitely come back to him later. theyre both amazing and mclaughlin should definitely be in this top 5 but this could also be used as evidence for becks greatness.

For some more Mclaughlin see here aswell:

http://www.italway.it/morrone/WBTG-videos.htm

Has a lot of variety, too. Several versions of the Mahavishnu Orchestra, solo concerts, duets with Paco de Lucia and Al DiMeola. After watching several of them, I concluded that he is, in fact, not human. I'm not sure what, but he ain't human.

PinkFreud 05-09-2005 09:21 PM

agh! thank you! ive been looking for that link for forever.

pigonthewing82 05-09-2005 09:21 PM

John Mclaughlin is really amazing, I wish more people knew about him.

PinkFreud 05-09-2005 09:37 PM

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 05-09-2005 09:40 PM
