I love playing NEM, it is a neat song to play

Endless Obsession 07-13-2005 08:16 PM

Jeez, I just realized how long ...And Justice For All is. Its about 1 hour 20 minutes. Wow. Compared to like Reign in Blood which is 29. Not one song is under 5 minutes and only 1 song is under 6.

FlyingPaul_83 07-13-2005 08:33 PM

I love that album thoug, I like long songs.
I have another account, but I haven't been on it in ages. And besides, I didn't even vote for Cliff.

I know, you voted for Flea.
I think James' best vocals definitely were on AJFA. Agree? Disagree??
i disagree, i think his best vocals were on the black album.

Huber 07-13-2005 08:39 PM

Dave Mustaine just got even cooler...

Dave finally understand, his fight with metallica started to become real childish.

He wasn't the only one being childish...

He wasn't happy with being put into Some Kind Of Monster though and showed it if you know what I mean at some concerts. So, that kind of surprised me and made me happy.

thetrooper 07-13-2005 08:43 PM

it shows his talents in not just singin metal, but also singin like a............. i dont know good singer( masculine version of freddy mercury i guess) i like seek and destroy and nothin else matters on live sh*t. if u dont have that album, just kill urself

Joe 07-13-2005 08:44 PM

agreed. the black album vocals are easily the best. thru NEM, the Unforgiven, and heavier songs like Sad But True. the vocals are pretty awesome

i was refering to both "contenders", but i'm glad they cool down, maybe in the future they will tour together.

i need to write an essay on a song of my choice and i decided to write one on a metallica song. What metallica song has the most poetic and meaningful lyrics that i can easily find a matching poem to? Replies apprecciated.

Metallica on Gigantour next year to support their new album?

That'd be so awesome.

Bazarov 07-13-2005 09:26 PM

Nothing Else Matters, I guess you could say is kind of poetic, it's a love song.
Just use a search engine, and read some Metallica lyrics.

I'd say Fade To Black, or maybe even Nothing Else Matters.

Fade to Black, talking about suicide, very poetic and meaningful. Plus easy to find a poem about someone about to commit suicide.

That's weird, cause it was written after James's gear was stolen. I can't imagine he'd kill himself over that.

Why does everyone call it "The One" it's just "One." No article. Just One. Feel the one-ness.

Which by the way is a great meaningful song to write your essay on. About war and coping with the results and ****. So is Ride The Lightening about capital punishment. And Master of Puppets about slavery. Depending on what class it's for, and how much the teach likes Ernest Hemmingway, do For Whom the Bell Tolls, as it ws written about the book. Or Disposable Hereos also about war. Sanitarium, about asylums and ****. Leper Messiah about drug addictions. Blackened and ...And Justice For All about gov. corruption, well most of that album is. You have a ton of material and I listed some songs that came to mind and about what they were written, so you can pick a song that fits a topic you wanna cover. Or do a little ALice In Chains, there's bound to be a poem someone wrote about shooting up, just as they sang about. And if you can do another song as a poem, I'd do Civil War(Guns N Roses) and Rooster(Alice In Chains) or One, these are songs about war. Leper Messiah and Mr. Brownstone(Guns). Your possibilities are boundless, happy hunting.
