That top R&M songs pisses me off. No Judas Priest? What the hell is that?
|
technically thats not the opening line of the song
True. He says out of the silent planet like a million times first. But it's such a great line. |
I love Maiden. The Trooper is probably my favorite song by them. I also LOVE their drummer, he's amazing.

Yeah, Both Clive and Nicko are good shit! :thumb: *bump* |
For Maiden lines no one said "Infinite dreams, I can't deny them, Infinity is hard to comprehend.......
or The prowler's beginning
Eddie and several other ppl, put infinite dreams, and I put the intro to prowler... |
Eddie and several other ppl, put infinite dreams, and I put the intro to prowler...
no i didnt? i put moonchild... |
sorry cant find it to quote you gurs but only the good die young is one of my favourite maiden songs
|
Nicko is a kind of a dissapointment. The new stuff the drum beats aint as good plus maiden would be so much better with clive.
|
Nicko is a kind of a dissapointment. The new stuff the drum beats aint as good plus maiden would be so much better with clive.
gurs is going to hate you plus clive is v. ill |
^ tru say
clive has multiple scelerosis. nicko > clive main differneces: clive utilized the hi-hat more, but generally left his ride untouched. a lot of nicko's best drum beats (ace high, the trooper) are extremely ride dependent. nicko is the best single-pedellar in the world. clive wrote the worst song on maiden's best cd, nicko wrote an average song on a good cd. I personally like Gangland but a lot of people did. on the other hand, clive wrote total eclipse \m/. When you get down to it, Clive had drum lessons but Nicko;s entirely self taught. THat combined with his pedal work make Nicko the better drummer. |
i dont agree...
in skill clive is far superior, just listen to genghis kahn but nicko looks funny when he drums |
Ghengis Kahn is easy, just fast.
|
meh...
besides clive, if hes still drumming is probably alot better now 20 years on |
hey guys, first polls up
for vote for fear of the dark |
meh...
besides clive, if hes still drumming is probably alot better now 20 years on
Clive have MS...i dont think he drum that much anymore.. |
I think clive is/was the better drummer.
|
A) Voted FOTD in poll
B) Nicko > Clive. Maybe did come up with better beats - it doesn't prove anything skill wise, that's what fills are there for. And Nicko's fills > Clive's fills. |
Who cares+! they are both exelent! they could both count to 1 to 10...
|
Reds Reply
Aces High rules, and Dream Of Mirrors rocks my socks too!!
|
dream of mirrors is, imo, the worst song on BNW
|
dream of mirrors is, imo, the worst song on BNW
****! man! thats an awsome song! maby one of Maidens songs wich are the easiest to play, but still, An AWSOME song! i actually dont think i could choose an worst one from BNW... maby Ghost of the navigator in that case... |
Dream of Mirrors IMO...
it's like a pre-cursor to No More Lies, a trend Harris has tried to do on all albums, starting with "Afraid to shoot strangers". |
The worst song on BNW is probably The Thin Line Between Love and Hate.
|
if by worst you mean 3rd best
|
Has anyone seen the Early Days yet? It looks very good from the trailers.
|
The worst song on BNW is probably The Thin Line Between Love and Hate.
Tne Nomad is probally the worst in my mind , but i still give it 8 out of 10. I think BNW is their best album. |
Favourite song to play. Mine is The Wicker Man ( But I'm A drummer ). Sign of the cross and Blood Brothers Are also awesome to play
|
mine is phantom of the opera
|
the nomad used to be the worst for me, but it grew on me.
However, BNW ain't the best album. |
i dont think of a worst song on that album, they all own
and thin line between love and hate worst?! no way... and yeh, BNW isnt there best album Killers is |
Favourite song to play. Mine is The Wicker Man ( But I'm A drummer ). Sign of the cross and Blood Brothers Are also awesome to play
Phantom of the opera and Rime of the Ancient Mariner! The awsomness to play on bass! :D |
The worst song on BNW is probably The Thin Line Between Love and Hate.
That song is pretty good, one of the best on that album after : Blood Brothers, Brave new world And Out of the silent planet. Nicko > All other drummers...'nuff said... |
Ya Nicko is definitly better than Clive. Don't get me wrong, Clive was a very great and creative drummer. But Nicko is far more skilled and unique. Compare his version of Hallowed Be thy Name to Clive's.
|
yup
well personally i think dance of death and brave new world are crap iron maiden albums. There still ok, but for iron maiden its royal ****. i like powerslave, iron maiden, killers, number of the beast, and peace of mind the best.
\m/Phantom of the Opera\m/ \m/Hallowed be thy Name\m/ \m/The Trooper \m/ |
Those two albums may not be their best but they are far from crap.
|
Those two albums may not be their best but they are far from crap.
oh come on, the heaviest song on dod is rainmaker! and thats not even heavey at all. the guitar skill is ****. the drums are ****. the bass is ****. the only thing is i give a bit of credit to bruce for the vocals but come on hallowed has 10 thousand better vocals than anything on dod. |
The heaviest song is Montsegur. I am a drummer and Face in the Sand might be Nicko's finest work. AND NO IRON MAIDEN ALBUM CONSISTS OF **** BY ANY INSTRUMENT, ESPECIALLY BASS! Pachendale is almost up to par with Hallowed be thy Name. But you can't just go around comparing one of Iron Maidens best songs with all of there other new stuff.
|
Montsegur or Paschendale are the heaviest songs. What is Montsegur about anyway? I've always been impressed with every aspect of Maiden's song writing on all their albums, those who rag on their capability are not true Maiden fans. I also believe that the Trooper is one of their best and 1 of my faviourite songs. Well ahead of its time ( It's like 20 years old or something )

A montsegur is a priest, isn't it? |
