who cares what we talk about seriously get over it..........

If your not happy with it leave. And if you wanna talk about blink you post some blink 182 topics
This is a Blink 182 thread, for Blink 182 discussion.

This is the reason we have a discussion thread. To cut down spam.

sam_182 09-02-2005 04:39 AM

allright, but i think its just a group of blink fans...how many times can we go over what our 10 fave songs are....i understand it should be about blink but dont go nuts if we want to communicate with som1 else in the thread.

-:Vincent:- 09-02-2005 06:55 AM

bleh...I have to play "Adams Song" at my school talent show (I play drums), and I was wondering...at the beginning of the song the drums start in and he's overdubbing ride and rim, I'm not sure which one I should play live? If there's any drummers who have played this live, please give me some info. (I know this isn't directly about blink, but I didn't want to make an eniter thread on it).

plaidbassbilly 09-02-2005 06:59 AM

Yeah, I agree. I mean, come on, have you seen the Green Day thread?

Bad Blood 09-02-2005 08:37 AM

Yeah, but most of what's in this thread is spam, and can go to the discussion thread.

Or even MSN or AIM.

passionallgone 09-02-2005 01:23 PM

good ol' blink, the best thing about them is you can actually track the progression and degression(if any) of the growth of them not just as a band but as artists as well, theres alot of kids that can't grasp that i think.

Get Fighted 09-02-2005 02:29 PM

erm to that dick who was complaining about non blink related discusion b4: blink is done get over it

Mute Print 09-02-2005 02:32 PM
erm to that dick who was complaining about non blink related discusion b4: blink is done get over it
Kif was the one who mentioned it a few pages ago. And just because blink is done doesn't mean this thread should be used as a second discussion thread. This thread is meant for discussing blink-182 and related side projects, whether they are together or not.

Independent_CA 09-02-2005 04:23 PM

Who cares, stop complaining.

Mute Print 09-02-2005 04:39 PM

I'm not complaining. I don't care what you guys discuss in here, I was just reiterating Kif's point about what this thread is supposed to be used for.

letter bomb has no right to take a shot at someone for commenting that the blink-182 thread is meant to be used for blink discussion. Agree with Kif or not, a comment like the one letter bomb made is entirely unnecessary.

Gnarmageddon 09-02-2005 04:58 PM

Until you guys can learn to discuss Blink in this thread, it's being closed.
erm to that dick who was complaining about non blink related discusion b4: blink is done get over it
Just because they broke up doesn't mean that you can't discuss them. Go look in Rock and Metal. Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin. All bands that have official threads that have broken up.

Gnarmageddon 09-03-2005 12:19 PM

Ok, due to a lot of complaining of this thread being closed, I'm opening it back up.

If you spam, then the ban hammer will come down on you.

Carry on.

Independent_CA 09-03-2005 12:23 PM

Thank you.

You bastards owe me for making the case for our thread to be opened up again. :thumb:

Anyways, what I originally wanted to ask this morning was if anyone had any concrete info about what Tom is doing?

Untitled 09-03-2005 12:26 PM

According to the foo fighters. Tom delonge is recording a solo album in there studio. (i think)

Gnarmageddon 09-03-2005 12:27 PM

Acoustic?

Independent_CA 09-03-2005 12:27 PM
According to the foo fighters. Tom delonge is recording a solo album in there studio. (i think)
That's what I heard too, but I was wondering if anyone had like an article or a link or something.
Acoustic?
That would be my guess.

Gnarmageddon 09-03-2005 12:29 PM

Yeah, acoustic stuff would make sense but it'd be cool to see him pull off recording bass and drums too.

Untitled 09-03-2005 12:29 PM

If it wasnt acoustic i guess he would have a studio band or whatever there called, but i wanna here it.

Mute Print 09-03-2005 12:31 PM

I'd be interested in hearing a solo album from Tom. It would be kind of cool if it was done right.

It's been weird since blink broke up. I was a really big fan. I think a solo album from Tom would be the closest to the blink-182 sound your going to get, aside from maybe another BCR album.

Independent_CA 09-03-2005 12:34 PM

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tom_Delonge
News has come from a BBC Radio One Foo Fighters interview that DeLonge might be starting his own solo album,“Tom from Blink is recording right now actually, recording the drums for his new record.”, but there will be a blink-182 greatest hits album, he is also working on an album with Matt Busted's ex bassist.
 God I love Wikipedia.

Well, there's drums, so maybe it's not all acoustic.

Gnarmageddon 09-03-2005 12:35 PM

I'd rather see another BCR album than another Blink album.

What was the difference in BCR and Blink member-wise? I know Mark didn't play bass, but that's about it.

Independent_CA 09-03-2005 12:35 PM
I'd rather see another BCR album than another Blink album.

There was another guitarist too.

Untitled 09-03-2005 12:37 PM

Well origonaly it was supposed to be tom, and 3 other guys. But there was presure put on him and he needed someone to record all the drums in 1 day and the only person who could do it was travis, he wasnt supposed to be in the band. Also, they wasnt planning on releaseing any singles or going on tour, but agian the record company put presure on them too, so mark felt left out, and blink was nearly gone then. But all was fine. I still cant help thinking that has something to do with the current blink situation.

Mother_Of_Abominations 09-03-2005 01:12 PM

A little off topic, but, can anyone upload Take Off Your Pants And Jacket, Dude Ranch, and/or Cheshire Cat?

Gnarmageddon 09-03-2005 01:15 PM

I can get all 3 of them for you.

I thought it was only supposed to be Tom doing everything himself. On the record, Tom recorded all the guitars and bass, except drums.

plaidbassbilly 09-03-2005 07:40 PM

Did he really? I didn't know that. That's pretty cool.

redrumsixsix6 09-03-2005 09:58 PM

yeah i heard tom recorded all instruments besides drums as well

10571z 09-04-2005 03:51 AM

i havent heard andything on the current project. Itll be cool anyways...

10571z 09-04-2005 06:23 AM

thanks to who got this open. It funny if they close it again make like millions of thread blink 182 based

redrumsixsix6 09-04-2005 09:21 AM

^^hehe yeah that would prob work

Independent_CA 09-04-2005 12:33 PM
thanks to who got this open. It funny if they close it again make like millions of thread blink 182 based
Or don't get it closed again. I'm gonna start charging legal fees and whatnot.

If it's true that Tom is recording all of the instruments, then I have to say that lowers my expectations for the album. I'm sure he could play bass decently, most guitarists can, but I highly doubt he's anywhere near as good at drums as he is at the other two.

Untitled 09-04-2005 12:38 PM

He'll have studio recorders to do it, i highly doubt he's doing it all himself.
