Okay guys. I really don't like C&C.

Entice me to give them a second chance.
If you like Avenged Sevenfold, then you can see the two bands live. I dunno if that tour is still going on, but Coheed live was a pretty good show. First concert I've been to where I knew every song the band played :D

Interestingly enough, I hate A7X

That's irony for ya.

Fish 06-30-2006 06:43 PM

did you follow the story line? When you pay close attention it gets really intersting

Hep Kat 06-30-2006 06:45 PM
did you follow the story line? When you pay close attention it gets really intersting
Not really. I've really only heard random songs, tbh. I've heard that the story is pretty snazzy, though.

And I do love concept albums...

Fish 06-30-2006 06:52 PM

well im out, but yeah, seriously listen to the story line or read about it, it makes it more interesting. You can get the story line off of Cobalt and Calcium.com imo the second album carries the story line a lot better than the other two albums

anyway, later

Storm In A Teacup 06-30-2006 07:40 PM

I like VC: Faint of Hearts the best of the three.

Fish 06-30-2006 09:42 PM

yeah, i hate saying how i like one of them better then the others, cause it really depends what mood you are in. Like when im in a happier mood VC 1 works well, when im sad VC 2 ftw and then when im just pissed off VC3. I like how they all sound completely different from each other.

Storm In A Teacup 07-02-2006 05:00 PM

VC1 and VC3 are good, VC2 is the worst C&C song.

The best song on IKSoSE:3 I've decided is "Three Evils (Embodied In Love and Shadow".

Fish 07-02-2006 11:33 PM

I can see where you are coming from when you say VC2 is the worst CoCa song, it hasn't ever really been one of my favorites. Three Evils used to be my favorite track off IKSOSE3 but at the moment it would have to be The Crowing

YDload 07-02-2006 11:47 PM

It's because VC2 is so boring. It's sandwiched right inside the "trilogy," so it's like they didn't even care whether or not it makes sense as its own song.

Yeah, "The Crowing" is also my favorite song off that album, and my favorite Coheed song of all. I was so psyched when they played it live; I didn't think it was part of their normal setlist.

Fish 07-02-2006 11:51 PM

i dont think it is anymore. We'll when i saw them last october is wasn't. Although on the dvd they play it, but i think it was close after the release of IKSOSE3. It is a great song, but i think they just stopped playing it live because like claudio says on the dvd, theres alot to remember while playing the song, and it can became a bit difficult. Best live song though has to be either Devil in Jersey City or Everything Evil.

YDload 07-02-2006 11:54 PM

I saw them only about a month ago and they played The Crowing. It was the first song I heard of theirs that really got me into the band. Like most people, I had heard A Favor House Atlantic on the radio and all. Even though the vocals seemed ridiculous, I noticed there was a lot going on with the guitar parts. So I decided to check them out more and that's what led me to their most complex song (up to that point). Love the thrashy breakdown part!

Fish 07-02-2006 11:58 PM

hmm.. you heard them on the radio, where abouts do you live? Wow, you're so lucky to have heard the crowing, i wish they played it at the show i went to. But then again, it was close after the release of GA.

Storm In A Teacup 07-12-2006 10:28 AM

 OMG OMG OMG

:D

"The Crowing" is awesome live. Much better than on recording even though it's already an amazing song.

DJ Ducksauce 07-12-2006 10:35 AM

The only thing I don't like about the Crowing live is that the main guitar part of the intro is drowned out a lot.

Storm In A Teacup 07-12-2006 10:37 AM

Shame on all of you if you haven't bought the new C&C acoustic EP.

DJ Ducksauce 07-12-2006 10:59 AM

I thought it was an iTunes exclusive?

I downloaded it, but if you can buy it, I'll check Wal-Mart next time I stop by.

Fish 07-12-2006 12:35 PM

Wal-mart wouldnt have it... would it?

DJ Ducksauce 07-12-2006 01:36 PM

Mine would. It has had all of the other CoCa CD's, but GA was edited. :(

Fish 07-12-2006 01:38 PM

ew :p ..wow, my wal mart doesnt carry anything other then like hilary duff and such.

DJ Ducksauce 07-12-2006 01:54 PM

Yeah ours has that, but I can find TBS and a bunch of mainstream pop-punk there.

Fish 07-12-2006 01:56 PM

yeah you can get mainstream pop-punk and stuff, but thats only like, blink 182, sum 41 and that type of stuff. They have all the rappers and hip hop/dance artist though.

Storm In A Teacup 07-12-2006 06:54 PM

Buy/download off iTunes...same thing. :(

DJ Ducksauce 07-12-2006 07:04 PM

Oh, I thought you meant there was an actual CD. :(

I wanted to look at the cover art up close. It looks nice.

Storm In A Teacup 07-12-2006 07:20 PM

Hey, if you download it then you can just look at it by clicking on the thing in the bottom left corner and bring it up. It's bigger than an actual CD case so...yeah.

I think "Second Stage Turbine Blade" is my favorite C&C album now. God, I can't ever decide, when I'm listening to one I feel bad because it's like I'm cheating on the others.

:(:o:upset:

DJ Ducksauce 07-12-2006 07:39 PM

lawl, cheating on CDs.

But yes SSTB is probably the best. GA is a great album, it doesn't have much play value though imo.

The Crowing 07-12-2006 08:54 PM

SSTB>IKSOSE:3>GA

GA is just not CoCa enough for me. And I'm a ridiculously obsessed fan.

:(:o:upset:
i feel your pain. sometimes i just have to look at the tracks instead of listening to them :upset:

Mitch2oo6 07-13-2006 12:56 AM

That is mega-sad. You need help.

GA was ok for me, I like them all fairly equally. None of them is more-or-less Co&CA, except as time goes on the titles of albums become more verbose.

Claudio said in a AP article that the band is evolving, and we have to deal with that.

Fish 07-13-2006 01:03 AM

im joking bud :p dont take the internet so seriously

yeah, bands are always evolving, and creating new sounds.

Mitch2oo6 07-13-2006 01:10 AM

Easy solution to bands that move on and evolve and create new sounds: go with them.

(I was joking as well. Heed your own advice :p )

Fish 07-13-2006 01:12 AM

no you weren't <_<

Mitch2oo6 07-13-2006 01:13 AM

Yes I was...

>_>
<_<

I swear...

Fish 07-13-2006 01:23 AM

you're too young to swear <_< >_> <_< >_> <_> <_>

Mitch2oo6 07-13-2006 05:05 AM

You win the <_< thing, but i pwn you at swearing :p

Storm In A Teacup 07-13-2006 07:42 AM

The Coheed & Cambria thread has been tarnished by you two now. :(

I'm going to record a cover album and it will include "Welcome Home".

DJ Ducksauce 07-13-2006 07:48 AM

Nice.

I can play WH on the piano. And some of the solo. I haven't had too much time to actually get it right yet.

Storm In A Teacup 07-13-2006 07:56 AM

My favorite song to play is "Ten Speed (Of God's Blood And Burial)".

When the eff are they going to release that video?!

DJ Ducksauce 07-13-2006 07:59 AM

Haha, I've been wondering that too. I know they were posting bulletins on myspace for people to sign up to be in the video.

Yeah, Ten Speed is fun on guitar.

My favorite to play is AFHA just because of the background guitar parts going on. They're so fun to play.

Storm In A Teacup 07-13-2006 08:07 AM

"A Favor House Atlantic" is fun to play just because of the intro.

"Ten Speed" is such an obvious choice as a single. I'm so happy about it. :)
