need some serious glam rock records

DBlitz 06-04-2010 01:45 AM

out of those dark ambient albums i've listened to Halo Manash and raison d'être but different albums by both. SYoMA is pretty awesome, listened to it for the first time just a few days ago.
need some serious glam rock records
Bon Jovi - Slippery When Wet

Meatplow 06-04-2010 08:53 AM
Need some really ****ing elite martial industrial.

I know all of the big bands like Der Blutharsch and all that already.
try some In The Nursery

i've only heard Koda, its pretty good if you get past the cheesy horn stabs they seem to be fond of. other albums are apparently more martial/neoclassical orientated

Jaundice 06-06-2010 02:25 AM

i was thinking some thing more girly and flashy like david bowie

Moon Flavor 06-06-2010 01:44 PM
I need essential post-rock albums that aren't from the following artists.

Mogwai
Tortoise
Godspeed You! Black Emperor
Sigur Ros
Don Cabellero
3nd (highly recommended)
A Lily (probably more electronic/ambient)
65daysofstatic
Russian Circles

Also, I greatly second Yndi Halda and We Followed Tigers

edit: **** did i quote this from like 2 pages back? don't mind me guys

2muchket! 06-06-2010 03:54 PM

Eluvium, Moving Mountains, This Will Destroy You and Caspian are worth checking out too.

CompanionCube 06-06-2010 03:56 PM
I'll edit it in my complete essential list of dubstep and some new-ish releases tomorrow.
The playstation game Powerslave is way cooler than that album. In fact more on topic I would highly recommend that game.

xMalcolmXx 06-07-2010 10:22 AM

never thought that album was that great even when i went through my maiden phase

Beatskins 06-08-2010 06:49 AM

IMO "The Number Of The Beast" and "Piece Of Mind" are better.

Aaron 06-08-2010 08:02 AM

Diocletian, Funerary Pit, Martire, Destruktor, Nocturnal Graves, Urgrund.

Some have a bit of a thrash influence as well, but may be worth a look.

EDIT: typo
