Should be repeated tommorow night I think.
Damn. I may not give a damn about politics, but he seems a genuine guy. And who the hell covered it? |
Dunno, was some female "soul" style singer...I seemed to be the only one in the store who recognised it and was oddled out by it
|
a soul singer? how weird...
|
Oh, wait. Hang on. I seem to recall talking to someone about it actually, and telling them it's a worse version because she doesn't go "And nothing else mattEERRRRRRRRRRSSSSSAAAAAHH!"
|
think i might go play gt4 some more
inabit lads |
later OT. Imma play some EVE in a bit.
It was covered by the bands "Apocalyptica" and "Die Krupps" for tribute albums, and has also been covered by the Vienna Boys' Choir, Gregorian (a troupe of Gregorian chanters), Lucie Silvas (a British pop singer/songwriter), Bif Naked, the Angels of Venice, and Staind. The song was also covered in Italian by singer-songwriter Marco Masini, the song being titled "E chi se ne frega" (moderately vulgar Italian for "and who cares").
|

that reminds me of the s&m dvd when james sings that part and he is like speaking it instead of singing it all out lik ethe song. it kinda ruins it. it's like he was bored singing it... |
the mattERRRRRSAAAH! is the most important part of that whole song.

 I saw that once. It was awesome. I might have been somewhat intoxicated at the time, though. |
Greetings gentlemen.
Just got back from leeds.....realised how much I want to learn 'Home' by Dream Theater |
hahaha, I'm playing DT songs at like twice the speed on media player, while keeping the pitch the same. It's fuckin hilarious.
Mop: Home is my fave DT song by far. I can play it all bar the solo. |
Home was like the highlight of the show when I saw them. It was freakin sweet
|
The highlight of the DT show I went to which was actually Gigantour in Dallas was when they covered Cemetary Gates and Russell Allan, Scott Bell and Labrie did vocals and Mustaine came out and did the solo.
|
Oh man. You people need to do this.
Play Home in media player, get to the first verse, where Petrucci starts a'chuggin on the D, and select play -> play speed -> slow. Now listen when the held vocal harmonies come in over this obscenely slow riff. lolcano. |
I can get that great wah sound with my behringer hellbabe
srs, that wah kicks arse, It's just a cheap 535q but sounds like the shit
Oh man. You people need to do this. I don't really have windows media player (it appears to have deleted itself) but i can slow it down without changing pitch on audacity. |
I;m having so much fun just messing with the speed.
I decided to play the song of my name, and set the play speed to fast, and it sounds like 20 x better. |
eric johnson
hey i made a thread on this awhile ago....what do you guys think of eric johnson? have any of you seen him live? i am thinking about going to see him on the 11th of august...is it worth it? one guy told me to bring a pillow to the show...

Eric Johnson annoys me. His tone, I find horrific (aside from his cleans). It so horribly driven, at point it almost sounds synth-like. And his playing style also annoys me, he just seems to stagger through everything playing it as stiffly as possibly, no cool smooth legato work to be seen. At least, as far as I've seen from him. |

/plays In The Name Of God solo on 'fast'
Serious, the Home thing I said, you HAVE to try it. The vocals go on for like 10 seconds each time |
