The End Of Six Thousand Years - Isolation

Si1v3RfaNg 06-09-2009 11:43 AM

Alright guys I need an album that is filled with epic breakdowns... not necassarily chugga chugga breakdown... but breakdowns that are VERY good. Like they make you wanna punch babies.

RetiredAt21 06-09-2009 12:37 PM

What the **** is an "epic" breakdown? Give me a breakdown that you think is epic.

Si1v3RfaNg 06-09-2009 01:16 PM

hmmm... The end of Jane Doe is pretty epic... The Saddest Day's breakdown is epic...

hismajestythepope 06-09-2009 01:22 PM
What the **** is an "epic" breakdown? Give me a breakdown that you think is epic.
a breakdown that hits you like a ton of bricks?

example:
death metal breakdown in hadlock by KOTA, right after the "it's clearly bree time baby"

Si1v3RfaNg 06-09-2009 01:36 PM

What mappy said, like a breakdown that is just so good you cream your pants. Anyways yeah need an album that has an unhealthy dose of those.

I would call that a br00tal breakdown, not "epic".

Si1v3RfaNg 06-09-2009 01:58 PM

Well then rec me an album with a big supply of amazing breakdowns please. :)

recommend me atmospheric doom albums

Si1v3RfaNg 06-12-2009 06:09 AM

Evoken - Antithesis of Light

Heaviest and grimmest doom album I've heard. And it's also VERY atmospheric.

Txus 06-12-2009 11:22 AM

Anything by Esoteric.

rasputin 06-12-2009 08:51 PM

Worship - both full lengths
Ataraxie - slow transcending agony
Corrupted - el mundo frio, or pretty much any full length, or basically anything they have ever made

Xplisit 06-21-2009 10:24 AM

In/Humanity - Violent Resignation: The Great American Teenage Suicide

classicbear 06-25-2009 09:07 AM

Hi all.

Im looking for some new, great, big, loud, music. Rock?metalish stuff i guess, i really prefer good singing in music right now though. Used to listen to lots of heavy stuff but ive gotten out for a while and i need some noise to move me.

I like things like Incubus, Mogwai, Pearl Jam, Dinosaur Junior. any suggestions?

Si1v3RfaNg 06-25-2009 09:52 AM

RetiredAt21 06-25-2009 02:51 PM

I can't stand that band.

Jaundice 06-25-2009 02:52 PM

Yeah I listened to them once and it literally almost drove me to suicide

But it's been years and I figure I should at least give a shot.

Txus 06-25-2009 03:05 PM

I used to dislike Meshuggah like 2 or 3 years ago but they were definitely a grower. Now I really like them, I like them a lot.

Start with Chaosphere.

pate 06-26-2009 08:19 AM

Yeah Mike you used to **** on me every time I listened to them. Bastard.

Txus 06-26-2009 12:00 PM

haha, yeah. I thought they were the most boring crap ever, but idk, I got into their stuff, I still kinda dislike the vocals though :(
