I know he knows Arif. |

Pals with two of them, but been seeing them since 03. Hard not to have some sort of relationship, yknow. Big fan though, obviously.
So what was the suprise...?
Was quoting stuff off the album. our goddess gave birth to your god |

Was quoting stuff off the album. our goddess gave birth to your god
That's a mean surprise. |
Wow thats pretty cool I suppose, especially now that they are getting big and all.
|
Was quoting stuff off the album.
our goddess gave birth to your god
O ok. I thought for a sec you uploaded the album and were going to give us a link. I got excited... |

Definitely do not expect that. it's a neighbour saving face by saying grace today for yesterday's behaviour..OH MY GOOOOOOOOOOOOD |
Yeah, a guy I know listens to all the usual generic metalcore... Devil Wears Prada etc.... and Protest.
Amazing how in the midst of so many bad bands that Protest is there. |
I want to see the ninjas try to dance to this album. There's maybe one chunk where you can dance but the rhythm is only consistent for like 4 seconds.
|
Definitely do not expect that.
it's a neighbour saving face by saying grace today for yesterday's behaviour..OH MY GOOOOOOOOOOOOD
I wasn't until you said that. Then for a split second I thought that you might. But then I realized you wouldn't. Whatever. Only 39 more days... |
Hmm, I think they could get a little bit of excercise off of the beginning riff of Bloodmeat. (after the dissonant stuff)
I wasn't until you said that. Then for a split second I thought that you might. But then I realized you wouldn't. Whatever. Only 39 more days...
ONLY! :( And all my money will be gone by then because I have to buy myself an ipod, my current player is nearly dead. |
Would you guys consider The Number 12 Looks Like You to be in the same category? I saw them and Devil Wears Prada this year at I think it was Sounds Of The Underground. They both put on a pretty energetic show. Don't worry, I didn't actually pay for the show, since most of the bands there were crap. I worked it, which is absolutely the most fun job ever. Get to go see free shows and crap. Hopefully Protest will be around next summer, because its the kind of venue they would play. Sounds...was cool this year because it was the Cleveland show so they let Mushroomhead headline and have a longer set. They are a band to see if thats your kinda sound.
|
Protest is playing a huge North American tour from January to March.
|
I don't think TNTLLY would be in the same category as PTH...
|
A lot more screaming, true. I looked on PTH's website and the only dates listed are in Canada. Thats not really an option. I mean I could do it, but there aren't a lot of bands I would travel 2 hours to see.
|
Look on their myspace. They have dates of shows all across the US.
|

I'd say at least 50% of the vocals on Fortress are harsh. It's a full North American tour, trust me on this. They're away from the end of January to the end of March. OIC. They just have there most current dates on the site homepage.
Regardless, I will have to wait till March to see them, and even that might be a stretch. I'm not sure if I will home from school at that time, but if I'm at school, I will be I think less than an hour away. edit: no, its still like 2 hours, but Cinci will be my best chance. |
I have to wait until the 15th of March...
|
I don't plan on seeing them this tour. As much as I'd like to see them retire older stuff and fumble through new stuff, I can't sit through Silverstein or Devil Wears Prada.
|
As well as A Day To Remember.
|
I dont know who that is.
I'd go see them on this mini-tour they're doing this week but I can't get out of town. It's all southern ontario towns. |
I dont know who that is.

I can't wait for the 19th here.
I have never heard the other bands on the tour, but there are three different bars at the venue (which used to be a church) to hang out at and get drunk, so it shouldn't be too bad to sit through the first few bands. |
That's a good way to look at it.
|
I can't blame you and feel good about it, so fine.
I'm just stoked as hell, watched the Blood Meat video a few hours ago.
Bloodmeat is the only song on the album that really sounds like it fits on Kezia. It's also definitely one of the less exciting ones. |
Yes. We all know you've had plenty of time to listen to Fortress. You just enjoy rubbing it in huh?
|
How am I rubbing it in? I'm just discussing it, get over it.
|
I was messing around. You just keep saying how good it is and how Bloodmeat isn't even one of the standout songs on there and how good all the other songs are.
|
Rody's video blogs on youtube are absolutely priceless :D

His old acoustic songs (that were "magically" removed when they signed to Vagrant) were some of the funniest things I've heard. As weird as Rody is (and he's weird), dude is ****ing hilarious. I'll talk about Space Wars later maybe.
|

with your final words be grateful you die by Irish steel
|
I just picked up Kezia.
|
I just picked up Kezia.
Good! Don't stop listening. It gets better every time you listen to it. |
Well, I have listened to it multiple times beforehand. I just actually own a hard copy now.
|
Well still, keep listening to it anyway.
|
Lol.
Okay man. |

They're still on purevolume aren't they? I must check them out. |
I learned Blindfolds Aside and Heretics and Killers yesterday =D
And I just checked Protests purevolume no acoustic songs unless theyre up under a different purevolume |
Heretics and Killers is such a fun song to play.
