Bad Religion's first cd is incredible. The Voice of God is Government, World War 3, and **** Armageddon, This Is Hell...are all amazing songs. Their newer stuff is more of a guilty pleasure for me...but it definitly isnt bad music.
I've seen Bad Religion three times, they're one of the best live bands ever. Amazingly tight on strage, but they don't sacrifice any energy or anything to get it.
letter bomb, why do you have an "i hate anti-flag" title and your avatar is blink 182...?
Letter Bomb-green day song blink 182 - avatar "i hate anti flag" what a gimp.....(letter bomb) |
i dont know very much bad religion......but that one song i cant think of is good lol
American Jesus is the only BR song I know.
I am seeing this show tonight in Toronto.

Aw man, you're bloody lucky. I wanted to get tickets to that show but they were kind of expensive, I have hockey, I had virtually no one to go with, and they sold out in like a day or something. I hope you have fun man, I know I did when I saw Anti-Flag on last years Warped Tour. |
I was going to see them last Thursday at Congress Theatre in Chicago, but it sold out.
Damn :( |
BR is cool live i guess. They played their old shizz so it made it better.
*fixes title because bad grammar is painful to constantly read*
Saw a setlist from them playing the other day and it looked horrible. They better play better songs on saturday.
Last time i saw them they played an awesome set, but i'm pretty certain the have been changing up sets.

For us they played: American Jesus, sinister Rouge, Recipe for hate, let them eat war, sorrow, infected, epiphany, 21st digital boy, no control etc. I wanted them to play kyoto now really bad. I saw Anti-Flag play live once. They were pretty good, except they stopped halfway through some songs to talk about protests and other shit I don't care about when I'm in a mosh pit.
I don't really like Anti-Flag anymore. |

I don't like Anti Flag, but if a band is going to talk about good meaningful protests through their set, I don't mind that. If it's during a song that doesn't make sense really. Last night they yelled at some guy for touching a women's breats, and called in an act of sexism (x1003022 swearing.) |
That's so lame.
Bad Religion's first album owns.

Owcho. They have way better song than that... what were they thinking? As for anti-flag, I can't help but love em. Yeah they preach a lot, but they feel strongly, so I'll let em off for it :) Great songs easily make up for it anyway. |

Yeah, I could've gone to that and in my town it was Anti-Flag, Pennywise, and Bad Religion, and I wasn't going to pay $22 for only wanting to see one band.
yeah pennywise has sucked 4 a while. was it bad religion or antiflag?
yeah pennywise has sucked 4 a while. was it bad religion or antiflag?
Bad Religion definetly. |
I saw the show..and it was amazing. Pennywise was kinda lame, but oh well.
Anti Flag was awesome. People talk on here about them preaching. It seems like such a cool, trendy thing to do, to bitch about them "preaching". First of all, they only talk for like, thirty seconds, two times or so between songs. Second of all, they're preaching is worthwhile, and they say important stuff. Third, someone else who used to "preach" who only gets praised, and never gets bitched about is...Jello Biafra. (jello also had some GREAT things to say). On live bootlegs, or the live album Mutiny On The Bay, Jello banters on and on about Regan and stuff, and no one seems to bitch. Greg graffin spent more time talking about the return of NHL hockey (The Minn. Wild) to the twin cities area than Anti Flag spent talking about the government and such. Both bands were great, especially Bad Religion. (no control was the ****!) |
Honestly That list you got Reiner is almost exact to what they played for us.
Honestly That list you got Reiner is almost exact to what they played for us.
That's because bands have things called set lists. Most bands use the same one in every city they tour. |
Most bands change their setlists up unless they're cocks and want to disappoint fans.

Hey, I paid 20 to see Social D. |
That's because bands have things called set lists. Most bands use the same one in every city they tour.
Yes, very good. Some bands decide to switch, and play other songs too. It's called creating a new setlist. For example Greg told us they were playing some songs they didn't play the night before. |
They should have at least played their entire discography.
jerks |
god... what happend to all the stage presence? bad religion lost a lot of thier stage presence in the last couple of years. not as energetic. like the guys from against me! are constantly moving, same as anti-flag. I like to go to a show and see a band that MOVES on stage. not one that just stands there and bobs in time with the music.

My friends went to that show, I went to the kitchener one. I liked Anti Flag more than Bad Religion *prepares for flame* Where do you live? |
dude, you deserve no flame... it's your opinion.
I'd rather see Anti-Flag than Bad Religion.

Im a big Anti Flag fan. but I dont feel the need to go to a Bad religion/anti flag show.
To be honest, Anti-Flag were good live, but I imagine Bad Religion would be pretty boring live.
This thread seems to be a complete turnaround to usual, no-ones slagging off Anti-Flag and people are putting down BR.
BR are awasome live, one of the great live acts who are still currently together playing. And when i say great i mean GREAT |
Ugh, I found out that Protest the Hero played in Toronto with them. I can't stand PTH, so that would have ruined my night if I went.
Seeing them tomorrow. I'm getting there late so I only have to see them.
