This forum needs something special right around now. There are no threads about bands now, most of the new threads are either:

a) About bands which already have official threads or
b) About the scene

This forum solely lives in the Discussion thread, which I think is a shame. I've been trying my [size=2]da[/size]mned hardest not to post in there lately, and I've been looking into other threads as well. I've even tried making games and ways for the community to interact outside that thread. Nothing

This forum is up [size=2]Sh[/size]it's Creek without a paddle, and if something doesn't get done it'll stay like that forever

I some what agree with the fact it lives around the disscussion thread.

Its the same in the POTM, the people who win, are regs in the disscussion, i remember i came 2nd or 3rd when i posted a lot in there, now i dont post as often, i dont get nearlyas many votes. I dunno if this is because people dont know who to vote for outside of the disscussion or what. But there a some good posters who dont post in the disscussion much and dont get voted.

I know this might affect a lot of people, but I think we should get rid of the Discussion thread for a while, and see if it changes anything forum-wise.

Closing the discussion thread would just cause people to leave and go to the pit.

Well, I don't think that will help very much, if at all. The problem is that a lot of the band threads don't get the attention they deserve. This is obviously with the exception of the main OFFICIAL threads.

I think we just all need to get out of the Discussion thread once in a while and post in some threads or make new ones. I'll make a thread when I get home. But this is something everyone needs to do. And people should post in band threads even if they don't necessarily like the band too. Those threads need input of the opposite opinion as well to work the way they were meant to.

I don't think the threads have been that bad lately. Yours' and TMA's are pretty good in my opinion. But there is definite room for improvement.

Maybe I'd take you all out more often if you cared to put on something nice every once in a while!

If you decide to close the discussion thread, I'm fine with that. I've been trying to post outside of the discussion thread more lately anyways, and I think this forum needs something new. I just dont know. When I joined, pre-disucssion thread, there was never much activity in this forum, period.

I also dont really listen to the same music as most of the posters in here. I'll admit I only come in this forum mainly to talk in the discussion thread because pretty much all the regulars in this forum are pretty cool.

I do agree that something needs to be done. People outside of the discussion thread do need to be more recognized. Our forum is full of good posters (the official blink 182 thread and green day thread crews, just as an example) but those people get no props.

And the discussion thread is being misused anyway. Its become a pure, 24/7, spam thread. It is supposed to be used when you want to say something off topic in another thread.

Anyways, yes, I agree. Whatever the final decision is, cool.

I find myself not really posting in the Discussion Thread anymore, because a lot of the time it is just pure spam, and there's no point. I do post quite a bit in other threads though.

I probably never should have made the discussion thread in the first place. It was like dealing crack to young children.

I think that the forum could do with another mod being made, and that they should be from the UK. A lot of the time when I'm on the forums I see threads that need to be closed, and post them in here as a recommendation, but it takes ages for the threads to get closed, and they normally just get filled with spam.
I think that Kif should be the mod, if he wants to be moderated.

What's wrong with link tags? All the URL and EMAIL tags aren't working anymore, which is really sucky

Move it. I think it's better when a conversation already has people responding. Therefore, people might be more inclined to check the band out after hearing enough positive feedback.
