The Feeding 04-26-2009 08:23 AM

it's one of the reasons i actually enjoyed it honestly

Deth 04-26-2009 08:40 AM

I love the never-ending fills on Remission, works for me.

Txus 04-26-2009 10:20 AM
I was being tongue and cheek dude.

Gospel's drummer is another great example of overplaying.
Hmmm

*listens to gospel*

DBlitz 04-26-2009 11:27 AM

Overplaying or not I really enjoy Gospel's drumming.

Txus 04-26-2009 12:59 PM

Yes, it's great drumming.

hismajestythepope 04-26-2009 01:13 PM

It's entertaining drumming, not really great.

DBlitz 04-26-2009 01:15 PM

idk what constitutes great drumming

entertaining is good enough for me

Txus 04-26-2009 01:21 PM

u r all fgts

hismajestythepope 04-26-2009 01:23 PM

Especially you!!!!

Anybody know anything like Hacksaw To The Throat's last EP?

Ventriloquist 04-26-2009 01:44 PM

I need more grind bands that include electonic/experimental stuff (Cybergrind, electrogrind w/e)in their songs (Not Death/Grind). So far Genghis Tron is the only band I listen to that belongs to that genre. So, similar bands will do.

hismajestythepope 04-26-2009 01:45 PM

Kissyface Fashion Faux-Pas & Elton Tron.

Aight, gonna check them out now :chug: Can you recommend albums?

Txus 04-26-2009 05:21 PM

Check out:

Cutting Pink With Knives - Oh Wow!
Whourkr - Näät
Whourkr - Concrete

Si1v3RfaNg 04-26-2009 05:28 PM

I need some epic guitar solo music... like any type of metal, but every song has a ridiculously good guitar solo on said album.

hismajestythepope 04-26-2009 06:37 PM

Seriously people, anything like Hacksaw To The Throat and The End Of Six Thousand Years?

Si1v3RfaNg 04-26-2009 06:41 PM

hmmmm... Havok maybe? Exmortus kind of... uhhh..... Conducting from the Grave.

To answer your question, though, The Locust is definitely worth a try.

Moon Flavor 04-26-2009 06:44 PM

Agoraphobic Nosebleed is the only "cybergrind" you'll need

Also, depending on who you are, you may enjoy Dissimulate by The Berzerker it's a tight album

Not sure if this is what you mean but:

Jason Becker - Perpetual Burn
Cacophony - Speed Metal Symphony
Racer X - Technical Difficulties

Also;

Joe Satriani - Surfing With the Alien, pretty well known but still awesome.

So many albums/split albums. Which one do you recommend?

Moon Flavor 04-27-2009 01:25 PM

Favorite full length: Frozen Corpse Stuffed With Dope
Favorite EP: PCP Torpedo
Favorite split: n/a too many to decide :p

I'd say get PCP Torpedo first.

Si1v3RfaNg 04-27-2009 02:55 PM

So guys, which Death album does Gene Hoglan show his talent off best in?

Deth 04-27-2009 03:28 PM

Probably Individual Thought Patterns. Symbolic isn't too great imo but is generally the favorite album of those not too into death metal in general (judging by my friends anyway).
hmmmm... Havok maybe? Exmortus kind of... uhhh..... Conducting from the Grave.
Nahhhhhh.

pate 04-27-2009 07:29 PM

I second Individual Thought Patterns.

Morbus 04-27-2009 08:11 PM

Yeah definitely his finest hour in Death.

thomasj12e34 04-27-2009 08:48 PM

i need some crazy white-belt grind

Tyler 04-27-2009 09:27 PM

Invisigoth

Jaundice 04-27-2009 09:57 PM

What's the deal with these belt things?

nevertoolate 04-27-2009 09:57 PM

they keep your pants from falling down or good for a thrashing.
