not exactly a myriad of bands but once again, its kind of hard to continue checking out bands when you dont really like the style. ie wittr diadems was overrated, weakling was uber gay, xasthur is terrible, leviathan is only slightly better etc. two hunters is not bad though.

Why is USBM never as good as BM from other countries?

Keep in mind that in my post, I was only praising Joined in Darkness, and not the band in general.

joined in darkness is okay

I couldn't really call it an "amazing" release, as the formula starts to get tiring after listening to 3 or more songs in a row; however, it certainly is adequately evil sounding.

I don't think I've heard anything from Joined in Darkness, but, I have heard one song from Faustian Dawn. It was good for a bit, but got dull pretty quick.

I am looking for very moody "mysterious" black metal like Hvis Lysett or Forest Poetry. As lame as this sounds: Walking through a forest through night into an ancient cave, the imagination and moods associated with that.
