Ah, phooey.

Not always, though. My rant last night involved myself and a girlfriend of mine. The guys that helped out all had good advice.

Guns n Zeppelin, I have decided not to kill you, but with comments like that, I may take my decision back.

Hey Kimmie.

My friends are all to ignorant to listen so heres the story

My friend Nate and Megan has had this huge relationship together but were not going out but were having sex regularly. Well then she went out with my friend Greg. They have been dating for a while and apprently Nate fell in love with Megan and Megan has always loved Nate. Well im not gonna try to be mean but Megan is the most fake person ever and she changes everyday. So now all my friends dont like her anymore(morgan, erika, ect.) and all her friends and nate was very sad then he told me that the told thing that seems right, right now is just talking to her. Now all my friends are kinda split if that kinda makes sense and were all on our own. I want to get the group back together because i have known mostly all these kids since 1st grade. So ya its just one big problem with Nate and Megan and people are gonna take sides and stuff(ie Erich, eric, lieren) people and someones arm is gonna be ripped off. So ya all my friends are kinda split but we still have our close relationships just no big relationship. and i really cant find another friends group at my school because it is full of groups(preps and stuff like that) and im opposite of the preps(i guess you could call me one of those extreme kids that loves extreme music(ie metal) but ya, what do u think Kimmie?

Wow. Typical drama. I had a case of that going on back at the beginning of this year. Give it a wee bit of time and they will forget it, maybe?

Other than that, how ya doin'?

I'm just gonna say this, Jon...as you get older you change friends. It's a natural evolution. Your group of friends not getting along right now is a growing pain. You probably won't be able to get the group back together how it was.

Jom 02-10-2006 08:31 PM

EDIT: screw it, my essay of an answer has been summarized to perfection by what Kimmie probably wrote in a short time:
I'm just gonna say this, Jon...as you get older you change friends. It's a natural evolution. Your group of friends not getting along right now is a growing pain. You probably won't be able to get the group back together how it was.
Completely agreed, really. I've tried getting old friends back together, but some people refuse to let things slide, or some people just flat-out move on.

Friends come and go; that's just a part of life. It's something I've learned very recently, really. It's not your fault - that's just how the cards are dealt sometimes.

GreyHam 02-10-2006 08:59 PM

its sad that though. growing up you always think youll have your mates. im really happy the way tings are with my mates when they come back from uni but its always a little different every time

For the record, I actually said I suspected something.

I think it was more of me trying to ignore it.

So, my girlfriend and I have been dating for four years (hurray!) as of March 15th. Now, we usually exchange gifts, but I'm at a complete loss of what to get her. I've already done the jewelry thing for every piercing and limb she has, but I'm playing this silly game with myself where I won't repeat a type of gift until after our 5th.

So, would expensive dinner and a small gift on the side (flowers, perhaps) be suitable do you think? I mean, I know her very well, but I'm just looking for a second opinion. Anniversary gifts are not gifts to mess up. >_<

Do I just sound crazy? Probably. :p

I'm not even sure what I'm getting at.

Here goes Tillius' sappy side.

Take her out for a romantic evening. You know, romantic dinner at a nice, fancy restaurant, stuff that women get a big kick out of. And yeah, get her a big thing of flowers as well. That will do the trick. Just make her feel like she's the most special woman in the world for that one night.

I sound like such a homo sometimes.

Haha, it's all good. I'm a massive sap when it comes to her.

Alright, sounds like a plan then. There's a nice, fancy restaurant that I've eaten at a few times with family that I'll take her to. I was thinking something along the lines of flowers, also.

Thanks. I mostly just needed a sounding board here. :)

Tillius 02-10-2006 09:54 PM

I'm gonna grow up to be the real life Hitch.
Oh my God, that would be so freaking cool.
