I've given Searching for a Former Clarity 3 full listens so far and I can say now that I like the album. Miami is a really good song. And if you just get past they've evolved away from folk-punk, it is a really well done album.
Violence. Yeah, it's boring and slow and not good.
I dislike Justin, From Her Lips..., Violence, and Even At Our Worst... I don't like, but don't really dislike Mediocrity.., Pretty Girls, and Holy ****. The rest, I like.
I like Pretty Girls and Justin, infact Justin is one of my favorites. |

I like Justin somewhat, but the lyrics are pretty bad. Holy S'hit is pretty good, that's what playing for me right now. Worst song is Violence I'd say. |
I like how low. It's folky.
But Violence is definately the worst song on the album, possibly the worst song ever composed by anyone, ever. Also, I hate all these painfully slow, long, boring introductions to almost every song. It's like Sleep, only worse. |

I'm really glad it didn't suck
Get over it, Tom Gabel isn't an insecure, angry 17 year-old kid, like you anymore.
You know, I pointed it out that it was a perfectly innocent 'joke' beforehand so that the morons wouldn't feel the need to respond. Guess that didn't work. I never called them sellouts (or whatever else) in that post either, I just said to download it. D'amn, so ready to internet battle me. Quit being an insecure, angry 17 year old kid (over the internet). If the glove fits, you know? |
I'm also sincerely disapointed that this album doesn't utilize James' inhuman Oooing ability.
|
Every band should have an Ooher.
|
i prefer whoaoaoaoaoaing to ooooing
|
Hey guess what, no-one fucking likes you.
Is that meant to concern me? I didn't sign up on these forums to be liked. I joined to discuss bands and such, but everyone on here is so close minded and rude that it never happens. |
I'm seeing them for the first time on October 6th. Can't wait....
|
Ohhs rule.
|
Violence isn't too bad imo.
|
I like Searching... more than RAR. RAR is mostly just halfdescent rerecordings of their eps.
|
I just found this demo called we're here to ruin your fun. It's got burning bridges and one other track on it.
|
Whoever wrote the review on Sputnik is a f'ucking jacka'ss.
It pisses me off when people do bad reviews. Give VALID REASONS for not liking it. D'amn. Anyway, I pulled out the Acoustic EP today. The version of Pints is better than the one on RAR. |
Who sings the chorus in Miami? James?

Andrew does the "like ballots drifting into the ocean." This guy named Dave Chamberland helps with the backing vocals during the yelling of "MIAMI!" |

Ah. That's cool. There's a song somewhere with some vocals that definately sound like James, but I can't remember hwat song, or if it even exists. I'll get back to you on that. |
I bought Reinventing Axl Rose today. I've only listened to the first three tracks and its pretty f'ucken good.
|
I just got "searching for a former clarity" from a friend who works at Fat Wreck. It's not as good as their old stuff, i agree. But It's still da'mn good
|
I had the choice between RAR or SFAFC. I chose RAR cause Pints of Guiness makes you strong is a wicked song.
|
RAR kicks the new albums butt.
|
Crime is their best album, just because of the bucket drums.
|

I agree, the songs on crime rule, but it isn't long enough. RAR is the best IMO. |

RAR is the bible on compact disc. |

Yeah, RAR is by far the best, but I prefer the other versions of Walking Is Still Honest and I Still Love You Julie. |

Wow, we agreed with each other. :) |
