yea flea inspired me to play bass.. but sence its so hard to play his stuff, ive got mad and quit several times.. and yet he still brings me to play it again..

Flea was one of the many big inspirations to me (obviously!) but the whole band in general is just flat out awesome. music wise their older music was harder to play, although their new stuff is very good as well. i give the older stuff a little edge over the newer stuff. I cant wait for the release of their next album. does anyone know when its comin out?

Californication is my fave album by them, Stadium Arcadium has to much filler.

mother's milk is the best because its the first album that really showed more seriousness and direction...uplift mofo party plan was awesome too but the one's before that didn't even feature HIllel...they cycled a few members for the first two... the first eponymous album of theirs was all over the place..I liked everyone but that one because in 84 they were still finding their sound and didn't really know what they were doing... and HIllel wasn't even entirely committed to the band back then.

I like parts of mothers milk, but it isnt a cohesive album.

I want to buy Californication, and some old stuff.

and im more of a jamband guy and i lean towards the janes addiction live stuff over the rhcp live stuff. though they both put on a great show. flea is so good at showing other people how much u can get into the music. so funky
