I Eat Souls 06-04-2005 04:12 PM

My favorite song = Repent or Silent Night, Bodom Night.

EDIT: Actually, Repent (whore) is actually a Cryhavoc song...

Squirrel 06-04-2005 04:13 PM
Best song by CoB is Bodom Beach Terror, end of story.
when i liked CoB i loved that song, but they stole the drum into and riff from Carcass, to an extent.

Shattered_Future 06-04-2005 04:59 PM
I'll give my left nut to see them when they tour. Hopefully they'll be headlining and have some good support acts. You live in the US?
They're gonna tour in the US?

SCORE! I'd give anything to see COB on tour...so would my friend.

On a side note, my dad deleted HCDR from the computer, and i don't have a backup copy on cd. I got so pissed off at him.

If anybody has it, and would care to upload it, you would be a godsend.

6-6-6! (pounder).

My favorite song off of HCDR was either Chokehold (omg that keyboard solo was GOD), or Hate Crew Deathroll.

Sixpounder is an awesome song dude. HCDR is my favorite CoB album next to Something Wild. I hope you enjoy the rest of the CD.

Hevy Tred 06-04-2005 05:29 PM

Oh dont worry, i am.

Do you know of a site to get good COB tabs? i plan on learning this album, and mx's cob tabs seem.... under-par

http://metaltabs.com

That should help somewhat :thumb: .

Only thing is you need a 24 fret guitar...or have to bend the strings alot.

Hevy Tred 06-04-2005 05:33 PM

ahh my buddy tells me to stay away from metaltabs, but ill give both those sites a shot, thanks guys

and yes my avatar IS great

children_of_sonata 06-04-2005 06:25 PM

the best two sites for any tabs are

powertabs.net
or
mysongbook.com (guitarpro)

guitar pro i think is much better, and by the way u have to download the program first

Calling CoB fan musicians with recording capabilities: I say we let the Cover Competition hear us. I'm a guitarist, anyone else interested in trying to get something together let me know.

Thor 06-05-2005 05:46 PM

Since I am running this thing, I would like to say that hearing an entry from you guys would be awesome.

What do you have in mind? I have no recording capabilities, but I'd like to hear what you're thinking.

ArcLite 06-05-2005 05:59 PM

I'm up for anything really. I'm thinking something off of FTR or Hatebreeder mainly though. Vocalist may be hard to get...

I have it, I'm uploading it now

That would be awsome if you guys did a cover for the comp.

Silent Death 06-05-2005 06:55 PM

Here you go

Children of Bodom - Hate Crew Deathroll

I shall help on drums, as long as its not insanely hard. I can also do guitar.

Vocals - Open
Guitar1 - Me
Guitar2 - Joe?
Bass - Open
Keys - Open
Drums - Joe? You got real drums Joe or doing synths?

Come on guys...time is of the essence. Also start throwing around songs you'd like to do.

blue3 06-05-2005 07:39 PM

Hate Crew Deathroll and Follow the Reaper are the only CoB CDs I own right now.

This sounds fun... I recently got some new recording gear so this could be good to test it out with. I play guitar... here are some recordings I've done: http://www.soundclick.com/bands/5/zachs_music.htm

For songs, a few that are cool but not insanely hard: hatebreeder, bed of razors, everytime I die, taste of my scythe... these are all relatively easy but I'm cool with any other songs.

ArcLite 06-05-2005 07:59 PM

Cool, well I'll slot you in the other guitar spot cause it sounded like Joe was more interested in doing drums.

Vocals - Open
Guitars - Me and Zapp

Come on CoB fans, I know you're out there...

AA-12 06-05-2005 08:33 PM

They won't let you do it, this thread isn't official.

Alright. I thought it was only Official though, just trying to prevent you guys from wasting time.

Bump for late shifters. We still need a vocalist and bassist for sure. Keys can probably be programmed if needed, but if there's any players out there sign your ass up. Come on guys...a bass player and an Alexi sound-alike, that's all we need.

I could do bass depending on the song probably. I could also possibly do vocals, but i'm not sure.

ArcLite 06-05-2005 11:51 PM

Assuming you have recording capabiliities then great. If you can do the vocals decently I guessing that will be the harder talent to find, but which ever you want to do. If you're seriously interested let me know which on you'd rather do, assuming we do a song you can do bass on. Then I'll put you in the line-up.
