Thirdly, Buckethead is superior to Slash in just about everyway.
Fourthly, they are still GNR.

Well said. If you really want to be praising someone in Guns N' Roses for their overlooked talents, it'd be Izzy Stradlin.

I'd also like to give credit to an underrated player in the new Guns N' Roses, Richard Fortus. I used to doubt the guy, but he's proved himself a very worthy guitarist.

buckethead, I do not argue, is good, but just doesn't seem to have the passion or the feeling as much as Slash

my guess is you've just found gnr and are in "awe" of slash but had never heard of him before/ never hear of him on the tv blah blah so that means he's under-rated....riiiight

Agreed. I've gotten notice from different sources that Merck (head of Sanctuary) says that despite the lawsuit, things are going as scheduled. I'm pretty positive now that they'll keep their word about 2005 now. It's all very exciting.

I also notice a lot of rumors about Axl performing with Paul McCartney at the half time show of the super bowl. Just because Paul is playing Live And Let Die. We'll have to see, but parties in both camps have denied the duet.

There are rumors flying around now that John 5 could possibly be the new guitarist in GnR to fill Buckethead's place (John 5 mentioned he was interested in an interview). Also, Tommy briefly alluded to a European/Asia GnR summer tour this year. Things are looking good. :thumb:

Meh, with Axl you never really know for sure. I wouldn't mind John 5 as the new guitarist (or Tracii Guns who made Axl an offer a while ago).

Yeah, John 5 is a really good guitarist. I wouldn't necessarily rate him higher then Buckethead, but I wouldn't rate him lower either. Hopefully we'll get an update from Axl once Tommy and Dizzy come back to the GnR camp after they are done with their solo project's tours in mid February.

Axl and Izzy did a press confernce regarding Chinese Democracy. rumors are flying around Izzy is re-joining guns n roses. that was rumor about izzy joing back. also as of recent Geffen Records stated "November 29, 2005 release date for the long-awaited Guns N' Roses album, Chinese Democracy",
