my holidays are already boring

Zmev 09-27-2004 06:25 AM
Not to mention you're going to the bridge benefit concert!
True that, cant wait :D

Stupid sleeping crap kicking again, now its 5:30am and ive been awake for 2 hours, eh.

Tapeworm 09-27-2004 08:44 AM

Geeez, I go to bed at like 3 30. Crazy fella.

Anyway, today I was watching 'One Perfect Day' again, and it made me remember how big my ideas used to be for my songs, and for recording with all kinds of weird percussion. I'm going to throw myself completely into that again, and hopefully get some kind of portable recording device so i could perhaps get samples, otherwise just find stuff to hit and layer it on.

I'm really excited. :D

i've got a great recording setup but when i split up with the ex i had to move into a smaller house and there's not enough room for me to set it all up... :upset:

really annoying as i too have a lot of ideas i want to try out.

and on another note, i just found out that i didn't get a job i'd had an interview for. bloody hell.
and it's monday.

Tapeworm 09-27-2004 08:57 AM

Hah, yeah, I live back with my parents for now and my room is tiny. I have a drumkit, two guitars, two amps, a bass, an organ, and recording equipment. It's crazy. Not to mention all the other stuff thats in there.

I was guaranteed a job I had two interviews for and I didn't get it. I was confused.

are you me?

that sounds crazily similar, well apart from being back at my parents. now that's just not going to happen unless i'm declared bankrupt.

all this creativity going to waste man. it's criminal.
mind you, so are some of my compositions. :D

Tapeworm 09-27-2004 09:31 AM

It is indeed very very similar.

I find that every time I sit recording I get more and more easily satisfied with the take. Then I stop, and go listen to Elliott Smith or something and 10 minutes later I'm erasing my stuff. Haha.

thetwaz 09-27-2004 10:18 AM

I would have that crazy amount of stuff if I could afford it.

*sigh*

I need a job.

Tapeworm 09-27-2004 11:50 AM

Eh, it's all really dodgy though. Don't tell anyone. :)

CommieCanada 09-27-2004 06:07 PM

I'm still thinking it over though, it's either you or Kif. You should spend more time here ya know. I sense a lot of Alt/Indie in you.

Tangy zizzle 09-27-2004 06:33 PM

Nah he's pop-punk to the Xcore.

CommieCanada 09-27-2004 06:40 PM

Na I think it is out of Kif Joel or Commie. It will be exciting to see who gets picked, and if Mx will actually mod them.

BillCosby 09-27-2004 10:31 PM
Which CDs?
Mahavishnu Orchestra- "Birds of Fire"
Echo and the Bunnymen- "Crocodiles"'

Good stuff.

Happymeal 09-28-2004 04:39 AM

^I wanted to buy Echo and the Bunnymen's live album(I forgot what it's called) but I couldn't find it anywhere!!! I'm planning to buy a Blood Brothers album this weekend.

Wanker 09-28-2004 02:22 PM

The Ashtray Girl 09-28-2004 03:03 PM

Wahey, cool!

Happymeal 09-28-2004 05:03 PM

That's awesome. I was just wondering if this forum had a mod-voting too..hmm

Tangy zizzle 09-28-2004 05:21 PM

That would be good.

There needs to be another mod for this forum. How do we nominate or whatever?

Happymeal 09-28-2004 05:41 PM

A poll won't work, and(if all goes well) I think the pop-punk voting's fine, it's not too complicated.
How do we nominate or whatever?
Take it to another thread, and get all the regulars' attention.

Tangy zizzle 09-28-2004 05:44 PM

But who should be mod...?

br3ad_man 09-28-2004 05:53 PM

Everyone. I think all of the regular posters in here are worthy of modship. I suppose if it came down to it though, I'd vote Tangy or IHateUsernames

br3ad_man 09-28-2004 06:00 PM

I'm voting for Commie. He is usually cool to everyone. Kif knows a lot but he was mean to me a few times :(
