Not exactly, when you just start listening to classic rock you only know about those few popular, most known bands. After you listen to them for a while though you will start discovering new, equally good bands. You will want to hear more of this awesome genre. That's how everybody starts out. So basicaly just give these kids some time and before you know it they will be rocking out to ALL of the great bands for 60's' 70's, etc.... That's just my theory.............

very well put, like 7 or 8 years ago i was stuck with LZ, Rush, Yes, Aerosmith, Van Halen, etc... and than i had a craving for more bands from the same years and i never knew id enjoy so many bands. Rock n Roll is a long process!! haha, lot of work!

I listen to quite a few bands from the '60s/'70s and I still find myself prefering some of the more popular bands. For ex., I think Led Zep's use of dynamics kept their sound from dating as much as other hard rock bands.

Well, I think "Killing Floor" is a cover if I remember corectly??? I dunno. Anyways, one of my favorite songs that I think should be classic I guess is "Rainy Day, Dream Away". The lyrics are amazing and paired with the wah guitar it's an unbeliveable song. I don't know why more people haven't heard aobut it????? There are tons of other great songs by Hendrix that should be recongnized more but this one just popped into my head right now. Anyway, I'm gonna go light up. I got me some nice pot. Bye Bye. You and rock not roll are the biggest hypocrites of all time. Rock not Roll goes and makes some stupid assumption, without knowing anything really about Frail's taste, and that it's rather varied, and go and say something stupid. I'd like to see Van Halen.. but I prefer DLR over Sammy Hagar, both performance and song wise.

so i saw the allman bros last night! best show i've ever been to. 3 hours and 15 minutes. they didn't even play whipping post, melissa, or any dickey betts songs, and it was still amazing. omg my life has changed. plus they jammed with ppl like hubert sumlin... o man it was amazing.

I believe that Sammy's a better singer (And guitar player), but many think different. Both are great for V.H either way.
