we only get 2 weeks at easter, 2 weeks in june, 2 weeks in september and 2-3 months in Xmas NY. thats high school though im not sure about uni.
Uni is 3 months over summer, 2 months over winter, 1 week in spring and 1 week over easter (autumn).

Deth 12-07-2007 04:13 PM

I have almost 4 months in summer (real summer, not Aussie summer), about a month over Christmas (starting tomorrow \m/) and that's about it other than an odd day here and there.

Tyler 12-07-2007 04:14 PM

A month dec-jan, then i have april to september off, a week at the end of february and then random holidays.

Riva 12-07-2007 04:21 PM

So I should probably visit the US during your summer, huh?

Deth 12-07-2007 04:26 PM

Most likely.
I'm watching Goodfellas on TV, this movie never gets old.
I just watched it as well. TV version is lame but I watch it whenever it's on

Riva 12-07-2007 04:28 PM

At least I won't freeze my arse off, hehe.

Deth 12-07-2007 04:41 PM

How cold does it get where you live?

Riva 12-07-2007 04:58 PM

In in the depths of winter it gets to 42.8F - 50F on average, with around 33% humidity. At the height of summer it'll be 95F - 105F with >80% humidity.

That's 6-10 and 35-40 in Celsius for all you normals out there.

Or 279-283 and 308-313 in Kelvin for all you intellectuals out there.

Tyler 12-07-2007 04:59 PM

What is this Fahrenheit gayness

superpeer 12-07-2007 05:00 PM

*converts*

omg, you wuss, that's not cold at all!

Riva 12-07-2007 05:00 PM

I did it for our American friends as part of the new 12-step program I have embarked on:
Forgiving our Amerikkkan neighbours for their centuries of sin (They can't help it guys!)

Tyler 12-07-2007 05:01 PM

Yeah 42?

With the Windchill factor taken into account, it easily hits -15 here in the dead of winter. And, conversely, in the summer the humidity and smog make it hit 36+ pretty easily as well.

GG EXTREME WEATHER PATTERNS

pate 12-07-2007 05:03 PM

Last year was the worst winter here in a good while. Wind chill got to -20F for like 2 weeks straight. Then in the summer it hit 110. Ack

****ing midwest.

Riva 12-07-2007 05:03 PM

Tyler, I seriously doubt you guys get anywhere near the humidity of a tropical region, but I do understand that heavy photochemical smog will increase the heat of the area. Poor guys. :(

Deth 12-07-2007 05:04 PM

That's just far too difficult for me.

It's consistently annoyingly hot here.
