Benzum, you're 14, right?

Xplisit 07-22-2009 01:02 PM

its alot harder for me to take all this commercial rap seriously (soulja boy and the like) than it is for me to take the most gutteral and indecipherable of methulz seriously.

ARRRGGGHHH 07-22-2009 01:04 PM

did I timewarp back to MX circa 2004?

Tyler 07-22-2009 01:04 PM
did i timewarp back to mx circa 2004?
what do you get with you mix country with rap?

Crap!!!!!!

Txus 07-22-2009 01:19 PM
Good rap doesn't even come close to the musical complexity and diversity of good metal.
 wtf dude

Tyler 07-22-2009 01:20 PM

Hip-hop needs more sweep picking

ARRRGGGHHH 07-22-2009 01:22 PM

**** I could make so much money doing that

Txus 07-22-2009 01:23 PM

@my benzum quote: that's one of the most moronic statements ive read on this site

Jaundice 07-22-2009 01:23 PM

Good metal is typically not complex at all.

TimJim 07-22-2009 01:23 PM

hip hop needs more juns and brees

ARRRGGGHHH 07-22-2009 01:24 PM
good metal is typically not complex at all.
Jaundice 07-22-2009 01:30 PM

Txus 07-22-2009 01:32 PM

Tyler 07-22-2009 01:33 PM

Jaundice 07-22-2009 01:33 PM
Good metal is typically not complex at all.
So true. Lots of wasted talent goes into bands that don't understand this.

RetiredAt21 07-22-2009 01:41 PM

Suffocation are complecks.

Catfish BROnes 07-22-2009 01:44 PM

btw I'm saying that all technical metal sucks but a lot of it does. :x

2muchket! 07-22-2009 01:44 PM
So what makes talented metal that is typically complex?
juns and brees

Jaundice 07-22-2009 01:48 PM

Good metal is like pop. It's not its job to be complex or intellectually stimulating. It's just **** that sounds cool and is easy to enjoy casually.

That was an opinion statement, don't throw a fit about it.

Tyler 07-22-2009 01:50 PM
True a lot of it does but I'll take genuine musical talent over computerized bpm and pre-determinded structure patterns anyday. I see nothing unreasonable about this statement whatsoever.
Get over yourself. Metal has as many, if not more conventions, than hip-hop. Computerized bpm? What? And by pre-determined structure patterns, what are you trying to say? Does metal somehow have a new and unique standard of time signatures and are its chord progressions somehow unique? Christ you're pretentious.

Tyler 07-22-2009 01:52 PM

Yeah, all they're doing is talking over music. I went double platinum by reading my math homework!

Tyler 07-22-2009 01:57 PM

Computerized beats per minute doesn't make sense. And yeah, you are being pretty unreasonable. You're saying it's not music, which I'd say is a pretty harsh criticism.

2muchket! 07-22-2009 01:58 PM
lol oh you

Only fag bands use brees. Seriously.
Jaundice 07-22-2009 02:01 PM
Computerized beats per minute doesn't make sense. And yeah, you are being pretty unreasonable. You're saying it's not music, which I'd say is a pretty harsh criticism.
That's not harsh at all, it's just in no way based on fact and shows no understanding of the concept of music.

Tyler 07-22-2009 02:03 PM

kids listen to the rap music

with the hippin and a hoppon and a bippin and a boppon

Txus 07-22-2009 02:03 PM
