When you're talking to someone on AIM, you go to People>Send File>Directory, and then select the album file and click send. The album has to be ripped/downloaded onto your computer in order to do it.
Haven't tried it yet, but how do you rip it onto your computer? |

Either Windows Media Player or iTunes. It doesn't matter with me 'coz iTunes has a convert capability  |

yep. it should have copied your music to a folder on your computer. |
Obviously old news, but an interesting read.

Hey leppermessiah, I've heard of Chilliwack. I'm a fan. I've got one or two of their albums and they have some really good songs. I don't know most of their music well enough though, I can always sing along with them on the radio...but I rarely know the song titles. Cool band though. They do that song (forgetting the exact title) that's like "my girls been gone so long" or something. That's an amazing song. They have great vocals.
|
I'm not sure but I believe Chilliwack is going to that music festival with ZZ Top and George Thorogood.
Yeah, I like looking how Jack and Ginger have aged over the years because I never saw them in between. |

Yeah, I like looking how Jack and Ginger have aged over the years because I never saw them in between.
Yeah I'm pretty sure Chilliwack is going to that. They do lots of festivals and stuff, they really don't have a huge enough fan base to do huge tours and stuff. Man it would be awesome to see Cream. |
Ha, I was just listening to Superbird by Country Joe and the Fish and the lyrics are about President Lindon(sp?) Johnson. And at the end you hear Country Joe say lets make him eat flowers, then another guy goes yeah, let's make him drop acid.
I thought this was pretty funny. |
What's a good Country Joe and the Fish album to get started with?
|
So who did everyone vote for?
Since it's a all Classic Rock poll I figure the votes would be split. |
Gilmour, but I nearly went Hendrix.
Gilmour Hendrix Clapton Page Beck That's how things came down to it. |
What's a good Country Joe and the Fish album to get started with?
Electric Music for the Mind and Body.
AIM? |
Can I get Electric Music for the Mind and Body from you Livewired?
|
Gilmour, but I nearly went Hendrix.
Gilmour Hendrix Clapton Page Beck That's how things came down to it.
That looks almost exactly how I would have voted last summer. I voted Beck, not because he was my favorite (I really don't listen to him much), but I just felt that he was the best on the list who should take over Hendrix in this poll for number one. Gilmour is amazing, but I think Beck had more of an impact on rock, though I thought really hard about mabye voting Gilmour. Here is my order from top to bottom of who I hope wins: Beck Gilmour Hendrix Clapton Page |
Wow, Clapton is getting smoked...
|
Electric Music for the Mind and Body.
AIM?
That would be sweet if you could send it to me  . I'm also robo2448 on AIM. I just learned how to send albums on the last page, we'll see if it works. |
I hope Beck at least beats Clapton.
|
I hope Beck at least beats Clapton.
No. I feel bad for Clapton. |
No. I feel bad for Clapton.
Yeah, I mean he dosn't deserve to win, but you know he really is great. |
I would love it if any of these won
This poll has made me realize how much my taste in music has changed since it started, I mean now all I listen to is the ABB, but when this poll first started, I didn't even know who Dickey Betts was. Did he even get nominated? |
The poll was like all 60's British guitarists, 3 of which who were in the Yardbirds! This is my kind of poll. But like I mentioned in that thread, I like all of them except Page, and I don't really care who wins.
I voted Beck. |
I like all except Beck.
But thats not really fair because I haven't heard much Jeff Beck to judge him. |
I like all except Beck.
But thats not really fair because I haven't heard much Jeff Beck to judge him.
Yeah same. I voted Hendrix. Although I really don't care who wins. Hendrix/Gilmour Clapton Page Beck That's the order I woulda voted. |
Can I get Electric Music for the Mind and Body from you Livewired?
Maybe, or maybe I'll just put it in a Zip file because AIM is kinda wierd lately. |
I voted for Clapton. It was pretty random, I like all of those guys about the same.
|
It's like choosing between Christmas and my birthday
|
I'd go with birthday just because it's your day.
Christmas is everyone's day. /selfish. |
Can't decide between Clapton and Gilmour. Leaning towards Gilmour though
|
Can't decide between Clapton and Gilmour. Leaning towards Gilmour though
I'll decide for you, Hendrix. |
I voted clapton because I'm jealous of his tone.
|
Christmas is everyone's day. .
unless you're jewish :/ |
I voted Clapton too
|
voted beck. hendrix was my second choice and clapton was a close third. then glimour and page was last. i feel horrible not voting for clapton but i couldnt NOT represent beck.
i really wish mclaughlin had made it. ive been listening to a lot of him lately. he and beck pretty much ruled the fusion world in the 70's. i get more presents on christmas than on my birthday... |
Can't decide between Clapton and Gilmour. Leaning towards Gilmour though
decided on Gilmour |
No, you should vote for Clapton
