Everyone check it out. And for those who don't like black metal, the stuff I've made so far isn't black metal, or even metal, actually. They're Ambient-ish, and instrumental.

The_Yeti 09-05-2005 06:41 PM

Hello to all! I used to be Metal_Head_617 and now I have created a new account.

Bartender 09-05-2005 06:43 PM

Why?

Neurotoxin - thanks, I'll look into it.

superpeer 09-05-2005 06:43 PM

Why didn't you request a name change in the site forum? Jim does it quite often.

I feel like a combination of NPC and Eeyore right now. I keep saying "Oh dear" over and over again, stemming from a recent MSN chat I was in :o

But, there is yet another formation of the MX Party Posse (remember those days, heh), the MX MSN Chaos Crue. "Crue" is all Lord Abortion, who claims that it's more 1337.

The new MNM is up people. It's a good read, and I edited it into the first post.

Jom and I are nearly identical, except for name and postcount.

Six Foot Revolver 09-05-2005 06:58 PM

What amuses me is that Ollie's post count was like 3,000 two months ago :p. Silly Ollie posts a lot more than he used to. 6FR.

What's the MX Msn chaos crue and why aren't I part of it. :(

Jom 09-05-2005 07:01 PM

I received quite a bizarre e-mail just now:
I'm looking to get a band together. Something along the lines of screamo/hardcore. Can't be afraid to play hard, loud. Just want to have some fun with it. Let me know if you're interested.
Some questions:

1. Who the hell is this kid (I removed his name and e-mail for obvious reasons)?

2. How does he know I play instruments?

3. How does he know I listen to [some] screamo and hardcore?

I feel stalked :(

Sorry, Jelle, you're just not 1337 enough :p

and Jom, Screamo?

for God's sake, I can forgive a little AAF, but a man has his limits

Ugh, multiple avatar sickness++

Once again, I ask; does anyone know how to convert iTunes files to Winamp?
Ugh, multiple avatar sickness++

I only know m4a to mp3, but not WMA.

What you could do is convert m4a to mp3, and then mp3 to .wma.

And there is nothing wrong with a little AAF, Ollie

Metalhead: you have to go to the thread in Site in order for it to work.

Hey, I don't have much to complain about. They pay for repairs and insurance while I live under their roof, I'm happy.
I'm just trying to give myself an excuse to get a job. I'm a lazy bum.

Dr. Jake Destructo 09-05-2005 07:17 PM

My mom said that if I took guitar lessons, she'd pay for them, AND gas.

Do you think she's trying to give me a hint or something?

:upset: I don't suck at guitar, goddammit!

Today was Labor Day, and for those if you who live elsewhere, it's a holiday where you basically get the day off of work for no good reason. Quite the All-American holiday, right? Well, that's all good and dandy, but I had to work for freaking twelve hours on a day where most people get to sleep in till 10, and eat barbecued ribs all day.

I downloaded Screamager and Stories, and it was my first time hearing Therapy? Overall, I didn't like it too much. The saxophone in Stories was really cool, though. I think it just had too much of a punk-y vibe for me.

You might like their newer albums better, but meh, maybe not. Maybe we just differ on music as well. :p

What do you listen to?
Jelle: You best put "Long Distance" in there, or I will be sad.
Well, I couldn't put it in Part I 1992-1998, now could I? It's a new song.

I'll put it in the second bit, tomorrow, don't worry, you can download it 25 times. Or something.

Neurotoxin: Good list, dawg.

Some of my favorite bands are Dredg, Porcupine Tree, Radiohead, Godspeed You Black Emperor, Red Sparowes, Pelican...

If I had to generalize, I'd say my favorite genres are Alt/Prog Rock and Post Rock/Metal. But, really, I'm all over the place...Johnny Cash, Ani Difranco, and Frank Zappa are among my favorites right now.

But, here, take a look for yourself: http://www.last.fm/user/Redrawing/
