Lemonheads - It's a Shame About Ray
The Ergs! - DorkRockCorkRod Deerhoof - Apple O' |
nice, Lemonheads.
The Mint Chicks - Crazy?Yes!Dumb?No! |
The Lemonheads are one of the greatest bands ever. My favorite album of theirs is Car Button Cloth.
|
Yeah I really should get some more albums. I've only got It's a Shame About Ray and the Best of.
|
saw them a few months ago, twas sweet.
|
The Knife - Silent Shout
pretty heavy digging of this just now, it's not my normal steez but I like it. I also tried once again to get into Naked City's self titled -- half of it is great and half of it is balls. |
I didn't like Silent Shout at first but it's grown on me. We Share Our Mother's Health is so good.
|
The first and the last songs I liked immediately, but the rest has taken some time to grow. I'm actually listening to We Share Our Mother's Health just now and it's awesome.
|
Yeah I found that too. I still tire of them over the course of a whole album, but they're great for just chucking on a couple of songs and chilling.
|
The Knife are fun.
I been diggin: Guy Gerber - Late Bloomers Keith Fullerton Whitman - Playthroughs |
ginnungagap - remeindre
|
Broken Social Scene
|
I saw them live a few weeks ago. Kevin Drew talked more than they played, but they were great when they were playing. It's All Gonna Break is immense live.
|
90 Day Men- Panda Park
|
Descendents - Milo Goes the College
Descendents - I Don't Wanna Grow Up Side A of IDWGU is not that great, except for a couple of songs, but side B is excellent. |
My uncle's blog:
http://heinouberspace.blogspot.com/ :-D It's awesome, like this vid he posted: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RPmL-_haRac |
Everyone has an indie family but me :upset:
|
Only my dad's side. My mom's side is pretty preppy.
|
Your uncle should make those album downloadable.
|
You can, click the arrow in the upper right corner of each file for a pull down menu, and go to "download."
|
Ah.
Elevator to Hell- Eerieconsillation |
My Morning Jacket-Z
Ride-Nowhere |
Superchunk- Slack Motherfcuker!
Best song ever? probably. I bet Mozart is jealous. |
Augustus Pablo
Say Anything-In Defense of the Genre Gtuk-herzschlag p.s. ArrestThisMan, you Uncle's blog is cool. |
Coachwhips - Bangers vs. Fuckers
Shellac - At Action Park Bangers vs. Fuckers is very short but sweet. |
18 minutes is plenty. John Dwyer famously said that he broke up Coachwhips because he couldn't keep writing the same song anymore. They're definitely my favorite John Dwyer band, though.

Haha nice. I'll have to look into some more stuff. Do Coachwhips have any other albums? |
Yeah, they have 3 other short albums and some split 7'' releases (the split with Trin-Tran and the split with Intelligence, at least. Both are really good).
OCS/The OhSees is my second favorite Dwyer project. |
