Pretty cool. It's kinda jazz-fusion-y.

Maybe later I'm wathcing Hard Days Night.

Illmatic-Is it better than the other 3?

thickasabrick 05-07-2005 06:58 PM
Nice, why does everyone here hate The Eagles. "Take it Easy", perfect song.
That's one of my favourite songs by them. This weekend it's actually an "Eagles weekend" so they start off every hour by playing two Eagles songs, on my classic rock radio station. Great music to chill out to.

Yeah I heard about Neils album as well...I'm excited.

(A Hard Days Night is on TV quite often)

Do you have an mp3 of Creeque Alley by any chance?

wanton 05-07-2005 08:36 PM

Anyone like The J. Geils Band? Some of their early stuff is enjoyable and blues-influenced. But they went really poppy in the 80's.

Also check out the song I posted in Dboon's thread.

ATM 05-07-2005 08:37 PM

What was the name of their hit song? I can't stand it.

You're probably talking about Freeze Frame or Centerfold. But I assure you that their earlier stuff is different. Check out the song I posted, you might like it.

Ah, it was Centerfold.

I'll give them another chance with the song you posted :)

My tribute is up in case anyone is interested. (On Nick Drake)

*fingers hurt*

Glitterati 05-07-2005 08:49 PM

I just watched A Hard Day's Night. I was MXing and missed most of it, though.

Reporter: "Mr. Lennon, how did you find America?"
John: "Well, we turned left at Greenland."

Yea that CD is great, I own it.

xxxRoCkJuNkiExxx 05-07-2005 09:20 PM

I finally watched The Doors: Europe 1968 and most of the first disc of Family Jewels. I thought it was funny when Grace Slick said that most people would take the drugs from the people on the street and save them for later, but Morrison would take them as they were given to him.

I can't believe you Canadians got to watch A Hard Day's Night:upset: I still havent seen it.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 05-07-2005 09:25 PM

^Was it any good?

I agree those **** Canadians get everything even snow.

That was scripted. It's a movie. I watched the Hard Day's Night DVD and the director said the Beatles only improvised a few of the lines. He also noted that John was a natural actor, Paul tried too hard to act, and George and Ringo acted like themselves.

Oh well meh I can see John answearing with somthing like that, I guess it was being in the spot light for so long he just knew what to say.

I am looking for good examples of Rap-Country.

Got three examples already.

clown_phobia 05-07-2005 10:51 PM

does beatles - across the universe have a bassline?

MalcolmYoungRock 05-07-2005 10:51 PM

I like to call rap-country Crap.

... what? It works.

MalcolmYoungRock 05-07-2005 10:52 PM
does beatles - across the universe have a bassline?
Nope, it was just John and his acoustic guitar.

lunch998 05-07-2005 10:53 PM

Should I make this Who biography I just did a Featured Artist or not? I'm reluctant too because most FAs are about lesser known people, whereas everyone knows The Who.

Badmoon 05-07-2005 10:54 PM
I like to call rap-country Crap.

So you think Beck and The North Mississippi Allstars are "Crap"?

Well, your music taste just sucks then, now doesn't it?

MalcolmYoungRock 05-07-2005 10:55 PM

Well someone did an FA on The Doors and Guns N Roses, so I'd say go for it.

clown_phobia 05-07-2005 10:56 PM
Nope, it was just John and his acoustic guitar.
do you think it would ruin it if my band covered it with drums and bass?

lunch998 05-07-2005 10:56 PM
Well someone did an FA on The Doors and Guns N Roses, so I'd say go for it.
This is true. And The Who>both of them.

I have a feeling I'll be hearing crap from a lot of people that The Doors>The Who.

Leper 05-07-2005 10:57 PM
I am looking for good examples of Rap-Country.

Rap-Country??? I didn't even know there was such a genre..closest thing i can figure is that it would sound like Beck...
