 I'm telling Lars you didn't buy it! |
 I'm telling Lars you didn't buy it!
LOL  Actually I traded the Master of Puppets for a burned version of Garage Inc. |
No, he's talking about the song Prince on the album Garage Days Revisited.
Who did the original version of "The Prince" anyway? I lost the album case where it said who did each original version. |
When I get home today I'll upload my NEM drums.
Sweet. It's a fairly easy song for me to record, it's just I downloaded a new program today and when I play the clean tone it's extremely fuzzy |

Diamond Head. They also did Helpless, Am I Evil? and It's Electric and maybe some more. |

Metallica covered Am I evil, but the others??? (I need G.I.) |
Diamond head? hmmm
|
Diamond head? hmmm
Yeah they were one of the first NWOBHM bands. Lars was obssessed with them. |
NP: Hit the Lights.
The first song that Metallica wrote together, I believe. |
NP: Hit the Lights.

It doesn't really look like him...
NP: Hit the Lights. The first song that Metallica wrote together, I believe.
I remember hearing that somewhere... I'm not sure tho |
Actually Hit The Lights was the first song Hetfield and Lars wrote together, and that sort of formula kinda obviously stayed the same. Hetfield wrote the lyrics and riffs in highschool, then got drums with Lars and the rest followed as it did,
|
really intersting
|
I think I got it off the Some Kind of Monster movie, or some magazine, I don't remember.
|
I read it on a Metallica Fan Site. Its not an official site, it was made by a fan. I dont remember the URL but I remember seeing that and a lot of other information.:smoke:

Thread Bump

No need to bump Official threads man, everyone knows they are here.
Thread Bump
:smoke:
Okay you are going to need to stop putting the smoke sign with every post you make.
Actually Hit The Lights was the first song Hetfield and Lars wrote together, and that sort of formula kinda obviously stayed the same. If you go onto the website you can hear the Metal Massacre version, its a lot different. |

Am I the only one who didn't think Some Kind of Monster was that good? I mean, it wasn't a bad movie, I just wasn't amazed by it. |
Am I the only one who didn't think Some Kind of Monster was that good? I mean, it wasn't a bad movie, I just wasn't amazed by it.
It was interesting, but boring. I can only see so much of Metallica talking about their problems with some random guy I dont know. |
Well, it was advertised as the life and struggles of Metallica during the recording of St. Anger.
Plus, it was a documentary. I don't hear about a documentary and think "ooooooh, exciting", I think "the yellow-spotted- too too bird, a rarity in these parts..." You get the idea. |

Where did I say it was good? |
master of puppets s&m
do you guys think its possible to cover master of puppets s&m? would a school orechstra do the job? where would I get the tabs? has anyone tried this before?
|
Where did I say it was good?
You didn't. I said that because you're post on SKOM made me think of that. |
O, well it was just a thing I might've seen in the movie. I don't think it was complete bull but it was really boring in most parts, except in the beginning when it was about the early years.
|
do you guys think its possible to cover master of puppets s&m? would a school orechstra do the job? where would I get the tabs? has anyone tried this before?
A school orchestra would be bad to choose because kids playing violins would be a really good way to kill people, having bows launch everywhere. So get a bunch of drunk rednecks, and tell 'em to learn Master bluegrass style, and cover the Bluegrass Tribute version. The Bluegrass version actually isn't that bad. |
Okay you are going to need to stop putting the smoke sign with every post you make.
And what is wrong with my smoking? :smoke: |
Metallica's old stuff was awesome, but their new stuff is not very good. They should have stayed the same as they were instead of changing to get on the radio.

I think this exact post has been said in this thread about 2,147 times. Welcome to the forums :) |
I think that Metallica changed their stuff just to get on the radio.
