yeah I still have their old 'some old bullsh!t' on....cassette tape! :)
I've never really been crazy about it, but it's cool to see how diverse they can be.. from hardcore stuff, to rock/hiphop fusion, to straight hiphop, and even pure instrumentals (which I LOVE!)..

actually, I'm a bit let down with the latest stuff they've been putting out. with an older, more "mature" age, I figured they'd lean more and more on their instrumental stuff....but that doesn't seem to be the case. but oh man would I love to play with a band that does that kind of stuff!

Drum Phil 03-22-2006 11:24 AM

Ive got "Some old bullshit" as well :D

SkaRabbit, have you heard Streetlight manifestos latest effort? and the new LTJ album should be out in the next couple of months

Jezen 03-22-2006 11:26 AM

I'm still waiting for the new Tool album. Apparently it's called '10,000 Days'.

Drum Phil 03-22-2006 11:29 AM

Lets hope it doesnt take that long ey?

Ere jezen, if i reckon you should work in my drum shop if i get it started. If you dont, you'll make Mr. Fibble angry

Please tell me about this drum shop you plan on opening, i'm actually pretty interested. Not as in working there or visiting or anything, but just to see what plans you got, if any.

Drum Phil 03-22-2006 12:17 PM

Well most of my plans came from things i learned off here. I plan on stocking mainly Mapex and Sonor low and mid kits, then Pearl, Mapex, Sonor, Premier and some other high end stuff. I refuse to stock stuff i know is a rip and will make sure i keep my prices as low as possible. Plan on sound proofing a room in the back, maybe hire a teacher for lessons.

RushHourSoul 03-22-2006 12:44 PM

Man if your shop had a sound proofed room in the back itd be so damn popular. Not sure if you'd sell that much though haha, people would just come to play loads of nice kits.

Drum Phil 03-22-2006 12:48 PM

They dont get to play unless they're serious about buying it.

Otherwise they shall suffer the wrath of Mr. Flibble

Nova 5 03-22-2006 12:49 PM

Hey Phil it's series 5 episode 4 - Quarantine. My favourite episode :)

Drum Phil 03-22-2006 12:51 PM

I just realised :D And the missus just ordered me a mr.flibble puppet off the net :D

SkaRabbit 03-22-2006 01:31 PM

haha. I dream off having a music store too. But chances are it would be a net one.

Epiphender 03-22-2006 02:07 PM

And I dream of having much of the stuff I see stocked in the music store. I think I'd enjoy that a lot more.

Janeway 03-22-2006 02:31 PM

Chicken flavoured crackers are awesome.

SkaRabbit 03-22-2006 02:39 PM

interesting:)

Josiah 03-22-2006 02:42 PM

I just discovered a piece of beef jerky in my desk! AWESOME! It was in a bag too... so rad.

Man this book is great (Slammin' Hybrids). I've not been this stoked on a drumming book since Stick Control.. I'd venture to say this is almost the next step. Such incedible stuff and ways of doing it...

SkaRabbit 03-22-2006 02:59 PM

i went on the link. Looks good.

Plan B. 03-22-2006 03:13 PM

OMG I whacked my eye so hard the other day with me stick. It hurt so bad, I just threw my sticks in the air and clutched it. It was so stupid because the stick was still in my hand, it's not like it flew out wildly, I was just being an idiot. I kept checking my vision too, comparing my left one to my right, haha.

Oh and today, I got in my car and saw that box of timbits I didn't throw out, and I went honeslty said outloud loud, "fuck it, I'm litering!!" and I opened the car door and bent down to throw it on the ground and completely tweaked my back! Now it hurts to breathe and I can't even play drums. Fierce karma.

SkaRabbit 03-22-2006 03:16 PM

Earl!!!!

Drummer Freak 911 03-22-2006 03:16 PM

Hehe thats silly cuz today i wacked my hand really hard when i was hitting my hi-hat and snare combo thing now it hurts like a b!tch and im typing with one hand right now, plus my hand is all red. Guess thats y not many klutzes play drums.....

fishbulb' 03-22-2006 04:17 PM

I've been working on stick flips while playing simple beats, pretty cool.

SkaRabbit 03-22-2006 04:32 PM

Good fun. Remember showmanship comes after playign solid!

Janeway 03-22-2006 04:48 PM

I wish they made lesbian Bollywood films.
I've seen Fire, and it was horribly boring and had no really good lesbian scenes in it. And the guy getting crushed by the elephant was just stupidly funny.
Gah.
Indian lesbians have got to be the hottest thing on earth, so why can't they immortalize that beauty through film?!

Win A Rabbit 03-22-2006 06:03 PM

so today we had a drug dog come to the school (without notice of course) and it checked all the lockers and jackets/backpacks that people had with them in class. so far i know of 8 people that got busted, and 3 in my class took theirs out of their backpacks and put it in their shoe, since they told us to put jackets/backpacks out in the hall, and that the dog wasnt going to be searching people. (for confidentiality issues) it was a good day, to say the least.

fishbulb' 03-22-2006 06:04 PM

I'm with ya on that one pepsi.

And if you saw the videos of thomas lang that i posted, he says that you should never do a stick trick if it might affect your playing at all.

milkmit 03-22-2006 06:24 PM
Indian lesbians have got to be the hottest thing on earth, so why can't they immortalize that beauty through film?!
indian girls, in general, are just beautiful. indian lesbians....? gah, that's hot on soooo many levels...especially the whole taboo thang that's been lost in western culture.

rockindrummer 03-22-2006 11:48 PM

LoneStarDrummer 03-22-2006 11:49 PM
