Glad to see some more open minded people who like St. Anger :thumb:

At first, I thought it was pretty good, not their best, but an enjoyable listen, with about three solid songs. Like, 3/5 stars. However, I was on vacation and I listened to pretty much the entire album, and I was really impressed.

After listening to it, I LOVE just about every one of them. I don't now about you guys, but I like "All Within my Hands." "Sweet Amber" also has a really cool intro. Don't pass up St. Anger, it is an excellent album with a lot of creativity

hallowed_ironmaiden 07-10-2005 06:19 PM
about the new album, i heard that they are going to take a few songs off of st.anger and re-record them to better quality in apology for fans.
I have also heard about the new album, but an apology? No way. St. Anger was great. Anyways, I heard that for the new album is supposed to be like one of their old ones, like "Master of Puppets", or AJFA. That would be great

Nice to see some of the cover talk going on. Do you guys have any solid plans as a thread? Sliptallica, will be drumming at all?

Nothing Else Matters came up as a possibility, and I recorded a take of it. It's on another computer so I can't upload it until tomorrow.

brettberry 07-10-2005 07:30 PM

are we allowed to put our own recordings on here? i thought that would be considered some sort of spam.

Dannyboy15 07-10-2005 07:55 PM

I saw Some Kind of Monster and I think the bassist from Kyuss did better than RT.. Plus his tone was suhweet.
I saw Some Kind of Monster and I think the bassist from Kyuss did better than RT.. Plus his tone was suhweet.
yeah, but RT is more Metallica stylish, besides Trujillo's experience in music is way better than the dude from Kyuss.

Well, if everything is done by you, then yes, that would be great. I'm just trying to get more songs in the competition, so if you want, upload it on http://www.yousendit.com or create an account on http://www.soundclick.com. :thumb:

Oh, and Scott Kyuss and Trujillo are both great bassists.

brettberry 07-10-2005 08:07 PM

well my problem is, i have my recordings on this computer. how do i get them in this forum? i am not computer smart so be gentle.

Dannyboy15 07-10-2005 08:11 PM

upload them on www.yousendit.com

brettberry 07-10-2005 08:15 PM

whose email should i put in for it to be sent to? if mine, how do i get it here from there?

Dannyboy15 07-10-2005 08:17 PM

1. Put your email
2. Select the file.
3. click the continue / next/ done / upload (whatever the button is called)

it'll upload. When it is done it'll give you a link. Post that link here.

brettberry 07-10-2005 08:35 PM

thanks dude ill work on it. meanwhile you can go to mortaltreason.com and listen to some of my newer music. keep in mind that we are a christian metal band. if you like it you can go to www.purevolume.com and listen to some more of my stuff.

brettberry 07-10-2005 08:49 PM

I think you will have to download it if it works.

Dr. Jake Destructo 07-10-2005 09:25 PM

Wait, is it just you, or is it your band? All members of the band have to members of mx, so if it's not a solo project, then sorry man. Oh, and you're suppose to link to the yousendit link, not your yahoo.

brettberry 07-10-2005 09:39 PM

i typed everything in to yousendit and i waited about 5 minutes for it to send and i gave up. yes it is my band it isnt a solo project. did you like my music or what?

Dr. Jake Destructo 07-10-2005 10:09 PM

I didn't get it. You can't link me straight to your Yahoo inbox. :p

YSI takes a while depending on your connection. Try it again.

FlyingPaul_83 07-10-2005 10:11 PM

you dont need to put an email address. just find te song and send it. wait till a link comes up and copy and paste.

so metallica? we don't need to go over all that process here. plus, there's the audio arena.

so are we still doing this thing?

brettberry 07-11-2005 12:14 PM

No, I gave up because it doesnt belong in this thread. A fan started another one. Look for it its called."Mortal Treason".

I have always wondered, Have Metallica and ACDC ever done a concert together?

I think the closest they've gotten to doing that is that big concert in Russia a long time ago. I'm pretty sure they were both at that.

The best I can remember, NEM was that good of drumming. Try ONE.

I've explained this twice already...I'm doing NEM for the Band Thread competition because I think it's one of the better songs that could be submitted.

One isn't even that hard anyways. If we want to do it for the Band Thread Competition, I'd gladly play it.

I think it would be a good song. I know it isnt that hard but I like the double foot pedal part.
