The thing about god is that he is an assertion made by theists. if you want god to be the metaphysical and epistemological answer, then you better have a damn good argument as to why. I'm sick of people using the the unprovability of god as a cop out to an argument.

While I agree he is unprovable, I don't use him as the cornerstone to my belief system.

God is unprovable. Therefore he must exist.

The theists says that god exists and is the arbiter of all, yet they decline for the most part to provide an argument supporting the existence of god. They are also the first, typically, to cop-out of the argument by using the provability argument. Really, you shouldn't base your life on a unverified idea.
