Some kid I'm arguing with (in good fun) said that Descendents were "a proto nu-metal/surf rock" band.

Someone please tell me I'm not going crazy. Back me up, here.

cobert 03-03-2010 01:23 PM

wat

NortherlyNanook 03-03-2010 05:08 PM

if it was in good fun, isn't there a good possibility he was kidding

if you listen closely, though, you can hear a heavy descendents influence when you listen to linkin park

cobert 03-03-2010 05:26 PM

the lyrics to "Crawling" almost sound as much like a whiny teenager's diary as the lyrics to "Parents."

cobert 03-03-2010 05:27 PM

PAREEEEEENTS

I love the bassline in that song.

cobert 03-04-2010 01:12 AM

Me too, bro.

After watching David Lynch's "Inland Empire" for the 4th time or so, I think I understand it. This is surprising because it took me way more viewings of Mulholland Drive before I think I got a handle on what was happening, ad Inland Empire seems way more confusing. I also think I finally understand Michael Haneke's "Cache" and I will end up watching "The White Ribbon" over break.

witchxrapist 03-04-2010 02:26 AM

Reminding me of Kage, talking about Inland Empire.
