I'm deathly afraid of the tarantualas, poisonous snakes, Gila monsters, and scorpions around here.

I can't wait to move back home to where all we have to deal with is wolves, bears, and the occasional black widow spider.

Apocalyptic Raids 01-07-2008 11:05 PM

Funnel-web Spiders are supposed to be quite common where I am, I've never seen one though. They keep to themselves, thankfully.
Funnel-webs are probably one of the three most dangerous spiders in the world and are regarded by some to be the most dangerous.
:(

Tyr 01-07-2008 11:06 PM

I won't even click that link.

Are they dangerous?

Angmar 01-07-2008 11:09 PM

When I went to Hawaii years ago there was this huge spider in our car that we didn't see till we started driving, needless to say, we pulled over and got rid of it, the thing was like 2 inches in diameter.

*shudders*

I was just reminded why I'm quite content with living in Sweden.

:(
You see spiders that big here on a daily basis.

gmoneyguy 01-07-2008 11:13 PM

The biggest spider I've seen around here is a banana spider
The biggest spider I've seen around here is a banana spider
That's not too bad....still scary if you stumble across one not expecting it......

gmoneyguy 01-07-2008 11:17 PM

They are nasty looking though.

Vasily 01-07-2008 11:42 PM

Nasty like latvian woman with acne?

Tyr 01-07-2008 11:43 PM

Worse, actually.

gmoneyguy 01-07-2008 11:48 PM

more like a latvian bear woman with herpes.

Tyr 01-07-2008 11:51 PM

As hard as it might be to believe, I actually think that banana spiders might be uglier. Shocking, I know.

gmoneyguy 01-07-2008 11:52 PM

you're just biased with a phobia.

Tyr 01-07-2008 11:55 PM

Probably. With some cognitive therapy I would most likely come to realize that Latvian bear women with herpes are one of the vilest lifeforms known to science.

gmoneyguy 01-07-2008 11:58 PM

Hopefully, one day.

Tyr 01-07-2008 11:58 PM

Amen to that.

gmoneyguy 01-08-2008 12:03 AM

I think I'm gonna go to sleep. I'll see you guys in about 8 hours or so.

Tyr 01-08-2008 12:07 AM

Sleep well, tovarishch.

i am the robots 01-08-2008 12:08 AM

Guys, I already caved. :):(

ATM 01-08-2008 12:30 AM

No clean Mappy?

TojesDolan 01-08-2008 12:43 AM

I'm listening to *shels.

They are awesome.

ATM 01-08-2008 12:47 AM

Yeah, they rule.

Tyr 01-08-2008 12:48 AM

What genre are they?

ATM 01-08-2008 12:49 AM

Hm, not sure what genre:

http://www.myspace.com/shels

Give them a try.

Tyler 01-08-2008 12:51 AM

i think they're considered progressive metalcore or something gay like that.

TojesDolan 01-08-2008 12:52 AM

Well, I don't hear the metalcore.

Tyler 01-08-2008 12:53 AM

I dont know I havent' listened to them in a while I just remember hearing that.

Tyr 01-08-2008 12:55 AM

From the first three minutes they sound quite okay. I might check them out when I'm off my current post-rock binge.

i am the robots 01-08-2008 01:00 AM

They don't sound like metalcore at all.

Tyler 01-08-2008 01:01 AM

I just said it's what I'd seen them labelled as. Talk to Jared W. Dillon not me.

i am the robots 01-08-2008 01:02 AM

Eh, I don't know, if they have any metalcore-ish material, it's probably really cool... the guitarwork has a vibe vaguely like Changing Of Times-era Underoath.

Tyler 01-08-2008 01:03 AM

but they have a trombone so it's progressive.

and a trumpet.

and probably a saxophone

i am the robots 01-08-2008 01:11 AM

This means they're classically influenced as well.

TojesDolan 01-08-2008 01:19 AM

And post-rock because they have no vocals.

C.O.A. 01-08-2008 01:21 AM

Sup guys? I just got home from a rough day at work. Thank God the day is over lol.

FatalEnergy 01-08-2008 01:23 AM

At least you have a job

Tyler 01-08-2008 01:25 AM

and a boner apparently.

i am the robots 01-08-2008 01:27 AM
And post-rock because they have no vocals.
