Yeah, it's usually the Thrash heads who love punk. :D

Strangely enough, I'm not into that much thrash. A fair bit though, just less than Black and Death.
:D

I've been getting back into more black and death metal lately. Great new bands I've found are Sear Bliss, Ruins Of Beverast (Unlock The Shrine is my avatar), Infester, and Neoplasmah.

Shadows 09-04-2005 06:34 PM

Is Med around right now? I need him to delete a review of the new Children of Bodom album since it doesn't come out for two more weeks. His review sucks ass, too. :(
Speaking of liking Punk and Metal...

I like a lot of Punk, and Hardcore too. I don't know why Metalheads hate Punk so much :-\ Technicality=/=good music (see: Dream Theater)
I couldn't agree more on the Dream Theater point.

And about punk, I've just not been exposed to enough of it to really like it all that much. The stuff I've heard (Punk O Rama Volume IX or something) I don't really fancy.

i havent been on in a while. i recently found a music crazier than Primus...Mr. Bungle. i love it. haha. does anyone else know of a music crazier than Mr. Bungle?

I could upload some Misfits, Freaks Union, and Forces of Evil if you're interested. Gives you a pretty decent sampling of different facets of punk.

I'm addicted to The Forces of Evil. Angry Anthem has been going through my head constantly.
I like that first one, but don't know of the second, is it Oi! too?
It's got the same sneering Englishness in the sound, but I think it's more often called aggro punk? Something like that. Conflict follow quite a lot in the footsteps of Crass (politically-minded, vegan, aggressive), just with more talent. The drummer in particular kicks ass, in my opinion.

Plus, one of the songs on The Ungovernable Force is a 1:30 blast of advice on what to do if you get arrested, which I always found great.

Anyone notice the Fact that the Mexican guy in NoFX looks like Ramsey?

Pfft. You can never have enough of that. :p

I bet yours is filled with The Who anyway.

I'm liking Carnival of Coal. Crazy music. \m/
But Minor Threat was my most listened to artist last week :-\

Plus NOFX is on there and Alkaline trio and Rise Against.
I just bought Minor Threat's complete discography CD.

Ah, good deal. I'll have to look into that, and by look into I mean steal from Nick on slsk. I look forward to it.

Bartender 09-04-2005 06:46 PM

Hope you like it. Try to get the whole album if possible, as almost all the tracks run on into each other, and it works very well as a whole.

I might try to upload some for you tomorrow, if you remind me. Hopefully it won't suffer the same fate as my FNM (non-)uploads.

Larry - maybe. Depends what you mean when you say crazy.

like the constant changing of the tempos and style of music. plus, making all the members work hard at their instruments. like...carnival shred? demonic circus polka? maybe not that far, but something like Primus or Bungle

Dr. Jake Destructo 09-04-2005 06:56 PM

Alex, I'd download whatever you upload. :-D Maybe like one song by a few bands? Thanks in advance.

Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, Carnival in Coal and Dog Fashion Disco spring to mind. I don't actually like any of them more than Mr Bungle, but they are good, so maybe you could try them.

Crazy music: Mod Flanders Conspiracy.

Have you ever turned on your plugin? If you use WMP, try this; Tools-->Plugins-->Audioscrobbler WMP Plugin.

If you use something else, try a similair chain of commands.

Almost Here please.

Jom 09-04-2005 09:34 PM

Heh. It was my first week back at uni, I needed easy music. Plus, my music isn't still 100% organized on my external, and the tags are still not thorough. I can just put a bunch of tr00 bands on a playlist, turn my speakers off overnight, and then put it on a loop. Then I can have a playlist like this:

1 Analil Farkthar 234
2 Drebu Horga Blech 233
3 Destroy Everything 232
4 tr00 217
5 Radma Thor Blacketh 213
6 Regurgitated Cumstain Bloody Death Rawr 69
6 Cryptopsy 69

And everybody can shove their respective feet right in their mouths :p
