Oh. Well I like your punk based threads :)

Chris: I'd be willing to help you out on it if you did. I'm not as well versed on it as you, but if you want help, it's offered.

Vince, where do you post most ?

Here or pop-punk ?

That would be cool.

Do you have any good Indie mp3s?

Uploading takes forever on my PC :-/

Permanent Solution 07-26-2005 10:04 AM

Tough call. More in pop-punk right now, but probably here more overall. I'm more knowledgeable about this style of music, though I'm always expanding and learning. Just got into Alkaline Trio the other day :)

I just noticed I missed my 14k post :-\
That would be cool.

I do on my laptop, but I won't have access to the internet with my laptop until I'm at school.

I have lots of indie music on the laptop actually, depending on what kind you wanted, and when I'm at school I'll have super high speed internet too, if you wanted to wait like a month to put it up, though we could begin work earlier on it to make it really comprehensive.

Angry Balled Fists! 07-26-2005 10:07 AM

I can't believe you only just got into them, they have been one of my favourite bands for the last 6 months.

Do you have Good Mourning ?

We should probably try and find songs that have rock/metal elements in them, so that people don't just shrug them off.

Well my gf is trying to get me into them since we're going to the concert together THursday. Basically I want to go for Rise Against, and she wants to go for Alk3, so we're introducing each other to the other band. SO she made me a CD mix, but it's comprised mostly of Goddamnit and Good Mourning. :)
That would be cool.

Yeah, a lot of indie I listen to is pretty rock oriented, so I know some good ones. Kashmir's a great one off the top of my head.

Angry Balled Fists! 07-26-2005 10:13 AM

Cool, i don't liek Goddnamit much at all, but GM is my faovurite.

Best songs :

This could be love
All on black
100 stories
Continental
Every thug needs a lady

I've got a few songs in mind.

I know much more about indie then I do about rock/metal, so I should be able to come up with a pretty good intro.

Any help would be appreciated though :)

Awesome, well I'm definitely interested in helping out, so we'l disuss it more soon.

I know more R&M than Indie, so hopefully that will help you.

Either way, my gf just got here, so I'm off

Six Foot Revolver 07-26-2005 10:20 AM

The only Alkaline Trio album I have heard is Good Mourning but it is a great album. The only track I remember the name of is This Could Be Love and that is a fantastic song. What is everyone's opinion on the best Alkaline Trio album so I know which one I should get first?

You may want to know that double posting is not allowed in here. Since you don't post here often this'll be your warning. If you do it again you'll get banned :-/

Lord Abortion 07-26-2005 10:55 AM

I seem to be banned, I asked why and will await an answer, I am always really careful to stay in the rules, this is bloody irritating

superpeer 07-26-2005 10:55 AM

OK guys so I said I had decided to do a thread on Insomnium. I found tons of info on the bands website and on an additional source. I'm editing what I put together now. In a few minutes I'll start uploads and after those are done, i'll make my thread. I have to narrow down some bands to put on my poll for next week's thread but that shouldn't take long either. Watch for my thread in about an hour or so.
a spammer :D. He posted a lot of silly spam threads mostly insulting Steerpike and Superpeer. So how are you feeling now that you're back?
Its good to be back, but a bit strange because its almost like i forgot what there is to do around here haha.

Still have a lot of unpacking to do, but ill get around to that eventually.

Once i transfer a mass load of MP3s to this computer, you can get all the !T.O.O.H.! you want from me haha.

I really dont know this feeling since I've never been away from home for THAT long. It must be exciting (re discovering people and things you love) and nostalgic (leaving the place where you lived for a year) at the same time
Once i transfer a mass load of MP3s to this computer, you can get all the !T.O.O.H.! you want from me haha.
I really don't know, Jelle seems to think that it was because of me making an ironic joke in the morbid jokes thread,

IAJP and butcher got banned too, the thread was like 3 pages, so I thought it must be ok if it hadn't been closed by that point

the pit causes nothing but trouble

A three week ban for that is harsh, sureley...

'Sup thread.

I haven't posted in the community thread (in any of its incarnations) for quite a while. It is summer and this means that whereas I should be outside getting fit I am instead finding myself reading the forums a lot.

And making cynical comments of course.

So the point of this post is basically to say hey... again.

i am the robots 07-26-2005 11:57 AM

What's up man, haven't seen you in quite a few.

Come on, there's nothing with sitting the whole day in front of a PC instead of being out and have actual contact with your friends :D

Or there is?
